I have no idea what those returns are. But, teams are desperate for goalies. I'm just glad its not my team overpaying.

Lol what? He's actually a pretty talented goaltender. I just don't think he was given a fair chance to be the starter in Philly.

Howson really needs to not be a GM of a professional sports team.

Bobrovsky is at his best with consistent playing time, he'll never win a Vezina but he has the ability to become a good goaltender.

A 2nd would be awesome since it's the 32nd.

Well Bob's NHL career seems to suggest that he is no worse when seeing alot of pucks, or alot of starts. In fact, if anything he might do better with a bigger workload. But it is a small sample size (really small).

So the Jackets got a young guy to put in the net who could really turn into something, and is at least capable of splitting time, for under a million. Great pickup for their club.

There are alot of peices that I really like in C-bus. I hope they can get some traction for the club soon.

Can a Jackets fan tell me what happened to Sanford? I really thought he would be solid for the team.

That seems to be the fairest value for Bobrovsky IMO. He's a good goalie, he'll fit well as a starter in Columbus.

Really? Your young goalie has proven he can't hack it, so you are going to bring in....a young goalie that hasn't proven he can handle the load.

CBJ shouldn't give a 7th for Bob, not because he's worth a 7th, but because it's a pointless move. Bob is not going to make that team better, they need a better goalie than that. They will end up with more of the same next season.

Is this the end of Mason in CBJ? Or will they go with a duo and ride whoever is hot?

Seems like Mason to Toronto would make a lot of sense.

This is how I feel, too. But, its not like there are a lot of number ones that are looking to be traded. I'm sure they asked about Bernier....price was probably too high.

Bobrovsky isn't any good. I'll be stunned if the Blue Jackets give up anything more than a 4th or 5th.

So what you are saying, is that in 2-3 years, with time and experience, he'll be a bottom 10 starting goalie in the league?

Why would Mason to Toronto make sense? We need a number one guy, not a downgrade from Reimer, Gustavsson and Scrivens.
