With that, he has officially won my favor. If he can do a decent Kelsey Grammer impersonation on top of that, I will love him forever.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
Hey everyone, Bruins fan here. At first glance I was excited for you guys because I each a lot of hockey and Bob looks like he has a good amount of upside. His flexibility is off the charts and he seems like a kid with a good work ethic. Yet, reading through here you guys don't seem too happy. Three picks is a lot, but I think he's better than someone you could draft with the two 4ths, maybe the second... But anyway hope he works out for you guys! Im excited to see if Nash makes a move today since Suter and Parise are making their decisions to take their talents to south beach on an hour special on TSN. Cheers!

"He (Holmgren) told me he got a better (trade) offer from an Eastern Conference team, but he didn’t want to put him there.”
At first - someone was willing to pay more and how about that "over-payment" statement now? And at-second - what was the team?
Also I don't know if anyone noticed, but Portzline took another shot at Mason and other our goalies' work ethic:
Quote:
"When Howson and Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren had trade talks, the tales of Bobrovsky’s work ethic left an impression on Howson. That has been a missing ingredient in the Blue Jackets’ net the past few seasons".
Is Bob a clearcut number one? Or would he platoon with Mason?
As a Vancouver watcher primarily, what do seasoned Jackets fans think of Cory Schneider as a piece in a Nash trade scenario?
Right now, Bob will be projected to "platoon" until someone wins the job outright, Unless Mason has done a complete 180 since last season, and with management already acknowledging that we need a new starter some time ago, I'd say with relative comfort that its likely Bob's to lose.
It still boggles my mind that we are at this point and we've heard ZERO about acquiring another goaltender that capable of starting for periods in the NHL. The Nash trade appears to be the last option we have to securing the services of one without likely overpaying.
Schneider is interesting, certainly, I figure he'd be off the table with the recent reup, but if he wasn't the centerpiece (I don't want such a tempermental position being the centerpiece of a Nash deal) to the deal, I'd consider it. Problem is, Vancouver isn't exactly stocked with young, capable forwards and I think, from their end, any deal involving Schneider would have him as the "centerpiece", not, essentially, a bit component.
