Tonight- Dallas Chicago

Rumor has it Rebeiro & Ott are being slightly shopped.

Obviously it would take a big amount to get the two
A first a top 3 prospect and hammer maybe Stalberg/

Do you like the sound of:

---------Sharp - Toews - Kane
Saad/Beach - Rebeiro - Hossa
---------Shaw - Bolland - Ott

That line up with Ott and Rebeiro really makes us a tougher team to play against an looks damn good on paper.

As much as ribero has his flaws, he's better than anything he got

That would be a hell of a lineup.

However it would leave the D thin

for us to get those guys, Saad would 100% have to be moved....

I could see Dallas wanting Saad, Stalberg, Hammer, and our 1st

for Ribeiro, Ott, and a 3rd

not sure I would want that, but Joe has been asking for crazy amounts in all his deals, so I wouldnt expect it to change here

thats a lot of money coming back with now another new hole to fill on defense....I like the deal for our overall offensive depth, but not sure what we can manage to get on defense that would be worth moving Hjalmarsson.....maybe sign Bryan Allen and/or Hal Gill if possible....cap space??

Ott and Ribeiro are two of my most hated players in the league. If this went down I'd have trouble stomaching it.

Same here. But, one MAJOR flaw on this team is grit. Q's system does have something to do with that. But, I think a lot of it is on the players, most of whom would rather not play a physical, checking-style game. I don't think we'd see our team getting so dominated in the hits category if we were to land those two gritty guys.

I'd much rather target Jordan Staal with those assets being mentioned than Ott/Ribiero.

Call me crazy but our window to win here fellas in 4-6 years and it should be EVERY year a deep run, even in today's NHL parody and cap we have so much drafted talent all we need is to spend coin on players that are difficult to play against!

Rebeiro would instantly boost out PP and improve the second line, he is annoying to play against.

Ott is a dirtbag, but only if he is not on your team, Shaw-Bolland-Ott is a beaut of a third line especially come playoff time.

And remember we have the best captain in the league to settle down egotistical players if need be.

Nothing outside of a coaching change could "instantly" improve our PP. Last I checked, it wasn't lacking talent to begin with.

I'm going to go with a solid no to both players. If we're going to go after a big-ticket player, we could do better than Ribeiro.. and we already have our Steve Ott in Andrew Shaw.

Steve Ott talks more, produces less and has a (much) bigger caphit. I'll take Shaw.
