Grigs to Wash if available?

You guys think GMGM will pick up grigs if available at #11 or #16?? Or do they trade up to pull gally or even yaku?

I dunno, I kind have the gut feeling that the Varlamov and Kuznetsov situations have left a bad taste in GMGM's mouth.

Unless they rate him a lot higher than other guys left on the board, I wouldn't be surprised if he passed on Grigorenko.

Imagine if they draft Grigorenko, convince Semin to re-sign, and convince Kuznetsov to come over. The high flying, high scoring Caps would officially be back.

I met Grigorenko a few weeks ago, he's a pretty good, humble kid. For some reason he was at my family's rink in Northern Westchester, NY with his agent, and I guess he didn't have any of his equipment because he had to buy a stick and gloves. Although, he must've had his skates because he made me sharpen them, so, who knows. At first I had no idea who he was, but he was tall, Russian, and just seemed like a "good" hockey player so I asked him who he was and he said Mikhail Grigorenko, and I was like who the heck is that? (in my head lol) So I asked him who he played for and he said the Quebec Remparts and I was like 'ohhh ok this kid must be heading to Pitt for the draft'. Don't know why he stopped in NY, though.

It was funny, he had to borrow money from his agent because he didn't have enough cash and his Quebec card didn't work here hahaha.

I'd imagine the Caps would have no qualms picking grigs if somehow he falls to #11 if he was the top prospect on their own board at that pick.

varlamov was a success, but so were neuvirth and holtby thats why he was traded. also kuznetsov isnt a failure yet he is only 20, how many 26 picks make it to the nhl in just 2 years?

If Grigorenko is there at 11 the Caps pick him because its a no brainer, not because hes Russian.

If he's there at 11 and Galchenyuk is gone, he is the best center available.

I would love the caps to pick gregs up, but i think there is no way he falls to 11. If they want him, i could see the caps trading up

GM just went on a mini rant about how he's usually taken by skill, but realizes he wants the guys that want to be out there.

Bye beautiful Russian hockey

If there's a GM in the league who LOVES drafting Russians, it's Georgie boy.

They need to take the best player left and I only hope it is a Center.

believe me, any caps fan would say you can never have enough after years of struggling along with nothing much after backstrom on the top line.

At this point, we should just load up on natural centers and put them on the wing.
