Arena Music

Simple question...

Should the current system of Arena music(typical 'Jock Jams' and things of that ilk) be abandoned in favor of the old-timey organ?

I'm watching game seven of the Rangers\Canucks SCF, and thinking about how much I always liked that cheesy old thing.

Thoughts?

A blend, with most coming from the organ.

There's too much recorded music, and its the same stuff played at every arena.

We could ask U2 and AC/DC to make their next CDs with an organ or something... this way everyone'll be happy

Blend it. Not like we have a choice though. Rock and Roll Pt. 2 will be blared in stadiums and arenas long after Gary Glitter is gone.

It does it's job though, hearing that song definitely pumps me up.

The Penguins tried having a house band season to play live music at the arena, didn't they? I thought that was actually a a neat idea.

wow, disagree. music really adds to the atmosphere, especially after a goal.

Well I guess if they get better music here in Saskatoon maybe it would be ok but we got crappy music.

a little off topic, but i'll ask you because you're from saskatoon...but do you know if Paul Brown joined the Blades? He's been absent from Milwaukee's roster for a while, and that's the story we heard...that he got sent back to the WHL for the remainder of the year.

A little of both, but there needs to be a lot more organ than there has been.

I think the original six should play exclusively organ music only and every other team keeps it the same as it is right now.

I like to old organ tunes, however a god jock jams sock always pumps me up. On a side note, the Avalanche have the worst DJ in the NHL. Techno? Not for hockey.
