I am a bit older school... I remember Luuing for a certian BC Lion, then for an up and coming young stud Dman (RIP), then Bobby Lu... I mean can't we come up with something more original? We started Towel Power, and from my understanding the Wave was started here in Vancouver at an international soccer match, so come on! I like one more like LULULULULULULU!

So Leafs fans are speaking for the Panthers organization now?

A lot of Panther fans are stating they think Luongo will be in South Beach next year.

In addition - the Panthers have attempted to resign Garrison

http://twitter.com/#!/GeorgeRichards

They are also rumoured to be taking a run at Parise (and Kane for that matter).

http://www.kuklaskorner.com/index.ph...and_holmstrom/

Which goes against the theory that they're a cap floor team

I'm also not sure that they signed those players to simply reach the floor last year, I think they signed them (and the terms they signed them floor perfectly demonstrates this) to mentor their youngsters until they are ready to take over the reins.

Furthermore circumstances change. Perhaps the playoff revenue they got this year has enabled them to spend a bit more on player's salaries.

Since down goes brown mentioned it I have always wanted the Leafs to get Kunitz. Cause one day Cole is gonna mess that up and it is gonna be awesome.

I`m going to miss Luongo so much when he gets traded. End of an era in Vancouver. Schneider, though good, isn`t the same personality and doesn`t have that `star`quality to him.

Panther fans can speak for themselves. And they have turning down almost every proposal that Canuck fans have made involving sending Lu to Florida.

Not true at all. We've agreed a few times, check the Panthers boards.

Goc, Upshall, Santorelli and the 23rd was all good.

I'm very happy with that as a Canucks fan. Would prefer Bjugstad, but Goc would fit our 3rd line very nicely.

Yeah, agreed. We don't really want Lu nor do we need him, but if we get him most likely we will all be alright with it.

As long as he's cheap enough.

If dealing with Florida, I think it would be a larger deal both sides... May as well get a year of trading with each other, done in one day...

What exactly does Florida need?

You have been speaking for the Panthers yourself, telling us what they would be willing to give up for Luongo.

Their current $1.5 million a year goalie got them to the playoffs last season. Tallon would really need to sell his bosses on spending a lot more than that.

No, I've been saying they have an abundance of picks and prospects and they might be willing to part with those in order to get something they want. Unlike they Leafs they have assets to spare.

Cool. I remember a couple of panther fans agreeing to that deal without Goc in one of these threads but I certainly haven't been following their board.
If they get him it should make Theodore available.

Maybe the owners are a Luongo fan?

Regardless, the sales pitch: Don't focus on the cost... Focus on how much more revenue you'd make, for that cost...

Really? Florida's draft record since the lockout has been pretty bad and maybe the worst in the league.

Their prospect pool looks very good now though. Some real strong players coming up.
They are ranked number one on Hockey's Futures.
