Hearing that the Oilers have apparently not contacted Igor Larionov to talk about Nail Yakupov, looking to get confirmed

With every minute that goes by I think it's less and less likely the Oilers take Yakupov

Dustin Nielson is also a legit source, followed by Bobby Mac

Subban isn't enough for 1st overall. CBJ could pick gally and ruin that too. Man so many possibilities tonight.

Would be nice if this was the case really. But I think we still should go for Gally somehow.

Why not they may also throw them a 2nd round pick, CBJ would be all over Murray.

Teams are worried about Yaks character. He is kind of different. "Yak is the best, that's it, we win"

I hope to god Burke tries to make a deal with Columbus for the 2 spot so we can take Yakupov if Edmonton does indeed go with Ryan Murray.

Same, Gally is my guy. If he's not available, it's a pretty even playing field. Grigs, Forsberg, Rielly all are good options. Would prefer to leave with a center today though.

would you be that happy if he went to Edmonton with another asset for the 1st?

Montreal ends up with Galchenyuk at 3 and yakupov at 1? not such a good thing for leaf land.

They aren't sure if his game will translate to the NHL. It's all well and good running over boys but can he do the same at 5'11 in the NHL?

We asked Larionov to come on Gregor's show and he simply said "Edmonton doesn't talk to me, I don't talk to them"

AS PER PAUL HENDRICK ON TWITTER: Brian burke tells me that there's a good chance they'll pick a defenceman at 5th overall. Little movement possibility as of now.#tmltalk

Re Dumba: I still have a fantasy that we take him and convert him to a winger.

Heck, they can even give him # 17.

Which means it's safe to say that things don't appear to be jolly between the Oilers and Larionov right now. #nonail

Yakupov would fit nicely next to grabo.

It is no secret that we want that spot fixed via this draft, but then again, we have to be rational here as well as annoying it maybe. If we do something drastic thinking we have made progress, in reality it might be that we just took two steps back rather than advancing step. It is very likely the reason Burke is hesitant for such a move.

Heck I am still prepared to give up the fifth overall for Ryan Johansen from the columbus blue jackets if they truly want a move for a full rebuild

Im so anxious right now. There's so much speculating that it would be a buzz kill if nothing big happened today
