Just read this, I wouldn't mind this at all. Yakupov has star power and some serious skills. The Russian factor is scary but besides that I wouldn't have a problem with him next to JT on the power play.
So the NYI get the 1st for their 4th & Strome. not sure if that's actually enough, but ok. Then the Oilers draft Reinhart 4th & package Sam Gagner & others to get Keith Yandle?
There'd have to be a lot added to Gagner to get Yandle. he's a good secondary player, but not the type you trade away a 26 year old #1 Dman who has a fair contract for.
if Strome was drafted this year he'd go at #2. I can't see the Isles moving up to draft Yakupov and especially not at that price. And it's from Hockeybuzz so we don't really have to worry.
They never brought Nail in for a visit to LI did they?
No, but I'm sure they met with him at the combine and asked him all sorts of strange questions like what ice cream flavor he feels like at that moment.
Go for the 2nd pick man. The 1st costs way to much. With the 2nd we will walk away with one of two players that can help us next year. Yak or Murray. Besides Columbus seems to want Forsberg and may have a pretty good shot to get him at 4 which will make it cheaper to aquire the 2nd. I'm pretty high on Strome and we can still get a decent player at 4.
it doesn't make sense for EDM to trade with the Islesto take Reinhart. They'd be much better off picking Yakupov and then trading him in the summer for a king's ransom instead.

Right. I don't like the deal.
You can tell it's nonsense by the gauge of value. Skip the Gagner trade - we can do better than that for Yandle.
What a crock of ****. No way would i trade trade strome to move up to #1 let them sit there and take Yakupov or trade past us. I would not give up more than a 2nd. The guy is in fantasy land. He even thinks that Yandle can be had for two 2nd and a player they can't seem to give away fast enough.
