It's "possible" but I wouldn't say it's likely. If he's still growing, I'd expect he tops out close to where he is and be a round 6'.

OMG. When JL put Boogie out there on the ice at the end of the Ducks' game....wow. The chants were crazy. The look on his face like he was ready to take on that whole Anaheim team....chills.

He could. Brett Kulak added 4" in the past year. So did Mark Jankowski.

However, I think it's always best to assume any draft pick's height is going to stay where it is.

Still an inch and he's about 'average' or so.

Of course he could. I grew four inches after I was 18

That was a great night. Gabby's 5 goals and Burns taking down guys left and right.

I think he's already taller than both parents... so I wouldn't expect he's got anything left in the tank in terms of gaining height.

Mark has grown 9 inches in the last two years, alone. Like they said during the draft, you can't put too much stock in stature when they are this young. Unless they are realllllly short.

It's not like the 17 year old kid is 5'8" and 160lbs, he's a fine height and a solid weight, and we will put on more. Did you see his parents? They were both solid and kinda stocky, he will end up like that to some degree as well.

There are also plenty of great players that are under 6'5" and 250. Our worries on this kid are a bit extreme.

Love the "PK Subban minus the arrogance" comparison.

So excited to see all these prospects that are coming up. Can we start the season on Sunday, please please please

Its stupid do put stock on weight, too. Its a lot easier to bulk up when you don't have the raging teenage hormones.

Weight is usually looked at solely from an NHL readiness perspective.

I bet he adds another inch onto his height.

It's not his height that concerns me though, it's his weight and the filling out he needs to do.

He is taller than both of them. Also of note, unless I am mistaken Dumba is Filipino, and they tend to be quite solid. He has larger bones and will most definately put on more weight.

Agreed... and it's even more important when talking about someone who plays a rather physical game. I don't think he'd quite yet survive his own playing style if he jumped to the NHL today, but his weight is already headed in the right direction.

Was following the draft from afar, I thought for sure we were going to take Forsberg, but I absolutely love this pick. He's going to be a great compliment to Brodin and we needed to add this type of guy to our prospect pool. I don't know where he's playing next year, but this kid will be a fun one to watch.

Hopefully we can follow up tomorrow with some solid selections and continue to build well.

He's 5'11.5" and 184lbs. Filling out? Hitting 200lbs will make him a physical beast.

Ovechkin is 40+ pounds over his rookie weight. Even skinny old Lidstrom is 30 pounds over where he started. I have no problem with anyones weight.
