I don't want to speak for the rest of you, but I hope the lockout ends soon.

Checking in on this thread makes me feel like a little kid repeatedly asking "are we there yet?"

Looks like Sid is in the meetings after all, as are 17 others (I thought there were only supposed to be 6 players). But of those I predicted, 4 are there: Miller, Parros, Adams and Tazer. Here's the full list per TSN.
The NHLPA confirmed the list of players present, including Craig Adams, David Backes, Michael Cammalleri, Crosby, B.J. Crombeen, Mathieu Darche, Shane Doan, Ron Hainsey, Shawn Horcoff, Jamal Mayers, Manny Malhotra, Andy McDonald, Ryan Miller, George Parros, Brad Richards, Martin St. Louis, Toews and Kevin Westgarth.

Supposedly, Bettman will hold a press conference at noon Wednesday, per TSN 1290.

I'd imagine to announce the cancellation of more games or the entire season?

@JSportsnet: Hearing that Ron Burkle has been voice of reason today. Obviously, with Crosby in room it creates a interesting dynamic.
@JSportsnet: Couldn't help but notice Crosby's agent Pat Brisson is in hotel, along with Pens co-owner Mario Lemieux. Could Pgh be building a bridge?
It would be pretty exciting if the pens reps were the reason the lockout ended

Pittsburgh saving the NHL?
That'd be awesome.

They are going to end the lockout, and give us MacKinnon anyway.

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
also told that Pens owner Ron Burkle made his presence felt in the meeting so far today. I think the players are receptive to him...
Well that's a positive sign.

You mean the guy once named "Labor Man of the Year" isn't completely despised by the Union?

Bettman finally phoned in the IOU to Burkle and Mario for rigging the lottery.

The Penguins got mad when the NHL decided they were fixing the draft for the
Coyotes this time. So Burkle decided to spite them and get a season started.

Last sticking point for a new cba, Claude Giroux must kiss Burkle's Cup ring as an act of good faith.

Don't forget there is a BoG meeting tomorrow so it is probably nothing more than BAU.
Hopefully it isn't that lame and he has something to say though.

Josh Yohe @JoshYohe_Trib
One thing is very clear: Crosby and Burkle are working together for the good of a season taking place. Wonder if Fehr or Bettman approve.
