He is a professional so would not be shocked. Hopefully we use another invite guy then, love free wallet players after development camp/ rookie tournament and sign entry level contracts

I wouldn't think so, NCAA guys who are 22-23 still go to the camps

Hopefully they can get Lundberg to attend the camp. Kind of a mystery why this guy fell and didn't even get drafted.

No news on the start date? FYI there is a chance you can get things signed. Last year i stood (when entering the room which holds the rink) to the left near the roped off area and got Peltz and Sorenson to sign something as they walked by to get a slice of pizza

Bottom line there is always a chance.

Hopefully they invite a few players that were either passed over in the draft or are NCAA free agents. It is always nice to pick up a few "free wallets". Here are a couple of players that I think the sens should, or at the very least consider, inviting to the development camp:

- Eriah Hayes
- Scott Zurevinski
- Carter Rigby
- Philip Tot
- JC Lipon
- Austin Carroll
-Max Iafrate
-Nick Czinder
-Emil Lundberg
-Tyrell Goulbourne

It would be nice to add a few gritty agitator type players to our prospect pool. IMO Lundberg, Iafrate and Rigby have the most potential from the list above and all three should be invited to the development camp.

After that there was a 'town hall' type thing with Murray, Maclean, Leeder, and Dorion. Ask them a question, they answer.

I'm pretty sure both those were open to the public and not just season ticket holders. They announced it as a season ticket holders event, but didnt control entry into the room.

Kirill Lyamin was at the camp last year so I doubt Murray would say that.

Is there anything you need to bring for proof that you're a season ticket holder?

I believe what LeeV was hinting at, was that here will more than likely be a work stoppage and therefore no rookie tournament. However, I think the current CBA doesn't expire until Sept 15 so, they could possibly have a tournament if it was played in early September as is usually the case.

#Sens 2012 Development Camp will open on Tuesday. Stay tuned to @NHL_Sens, the full roster of players will be announced later today. #Sens
Think Silf and/or Stone will be there? Are players with one way-contracts always excluded from these camps?

Any clue as to why Lundberg was not drafted?

Probably had something to do with his TPS reports.

What's the story with Lyamin anyway? Have the Sens given up on him or is there still a chance he'll leave the KHL?

He didn't look all that impressive in last year's camp (which has been the case with pretty much all the Russians still hanging around from the Muckler era) so it was probably determined that he was better off in the KHL. None of these guys are going to leave just to come and play in the AHL and none of them would be considered NHL ready.

Probably best just to turn the page.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Alex Gudbranson at camp. Local boy = Murray WILL be interested!

I would love to see this, but, how does this work, I thought you weren't allowed to sign players till they've gone undrafted a few years? Didn't Philly try the same thing with Hyka last year and it got rejected by the league?

Or is it just a case of inviting him to get a better look at him for next year?

----------------------------------------------

Edit: Nvrmd, looks like it was due to him playing in Europe the year before:

Quote:
“We can’t sign him because of [Section] 8.9 in the CBA. He played in Europe last year. It’s not where you are currently playing, it’s where you played the previous year. ... Had he played in North America last year, he would have been unrestricted.”
http://www.csnphilly.com/hockey-phil...368&feedID=695

So in that case, would love to see Gudbranson at camp, along with Zach Leslie!

Its a development camp for Sens prospects, not a tryout camp.

So really just was not worth the draft pick. Curious because he was ranked 3rd round. No idea what/if he is any good haivng never seen him. Seemed like an Ottawa project type pick

Would love to see the 6'6'' Corbeil in Ottawa but unfortunately he is part of the CLB prospect pool...
