You guys gotta go around reading other teams draft threads.

Lightnings is awesome, they hate Pittsburgh as much as us, and when they picked Koekkoek, they were like wtf just happened? We want forward! Then 19th, they are like we want dman! NOPE GOALIE!

Its great, gonna read the Ducks one now... Lindholm stretch is gonna be awesome.

I am encouraged to read something positive on Wilson's skating. Would you rather him taken at 16, or an off the radar top Russian F prospect that we think would be tempted to come over because we have Ovi. While his injuries concern me, and think it should help being on the Roberts program. I consider him a luxury project pick.

It sounds like George was targeting a D, which isn't really surprising as it seemed D heavy.

I am not sure what was better, George addressing the Pitt fans, or the 3 new players we have. I watched the replay, I am almost in tears laughing.

Talk about a classic McPhee moment, addressing their classless booing, throwing up his arms in a WTF protest. Ready to take off the jacket if needed. You would think they hate him from his playing days. Nitpicking, I wish he would have said "Stay Classy Pittsburgh" and wink heading off the podium.

Updated the OP with their selections and remaining picks. I'll keep it updated. Also added a link to NHL.com's draft tracker.

Day 2 about to start. The Caps really need to address the organizational need at center today. They've got plenty of picks to move up/down as needed.

The non-NHL depth chart at center:

Sjogren
Hammil
Potulny

That's pretty much it, unless someone like Kuznetsov, Forsberg, or Herbert can move forward at the center position.

Collberg to Montreal. Nice first two picks by Bergevin.

Avs just took a guy who, as far as I can tell, is unranked by CSB.

Surprised that Frk and Thrower are on board still. I'm very interested in Esa Lindell.

Other than Heard (the unranked overager the Avs took), only one center taken thus far - Lukas Sutter.

Couple of overagers I like are Logan Nelson and Miro Aaltonen. Hope the Caps can get one of them in the later rounds.

Could be a good pick for the Wings. The concussion and effort issues are concerning, however.

Gusev seems the best overager to me. Though the KHL risk is an obvious factor.

I think Hyka is the best re-entry option. Small but quite skilled. Him or Tanner Richard.

Sissons to Nashville. Aberg and him in the second, coud be nice for them. Thrower to Montreal, looking like a good starting draft for Montreal's new GM.

Rags get another high-upside (mostly) high-schooler in Boo Nieves.
