Exactly, Maatta was the last one who really has a good shot of being more than a bottom pairing guy. Finn and Gaunce are both solid prospects and I would have been okay with either, but Gaunce is probably a future third line centre and Finn may be a #4, likely a bottom pairing guy.

This kid is made of raw talent, the combine showed his pure athleticism. I personally think he's the best tender in the draft and he's easily our number 2 prospect after Hamilton.

Not a fan of taking a goalie in the first round at all. Looking at the Bruins recent draft history (aside from the slam dunk Leafs picks) in the first round, I guess they might as well try something different. They've been awful. Too bad they don't have a 2nd round pick, that's where they shine.

Every time the Devils make a pick I retroactively wish the Bruins made it.

(Except Parise, I was pre-actively pissed about that.)

Potential elite goalie or potential 3/4th defensman?

Seems pretty easy to me, even with Rask.

Chiarelli is awesome.
Or the brass prefering to trade for draftef d-men wgen they have z better resd on them?

I'm watching the Sox and they have a NESN update to announce the Bruins picking Malcolm Subban....I just laughed as the Sox announcers say, "Now that's an interesting pick".

The irony is delicious.....I'm still giggling.

Subban has a shot to end Canada's World Junior Gold drought. Our last few goalies have really let us down, hopefully Subban doesn't.

LOL yup, this board is a riot sometimes, the Subban pick is solid, but everyone is so ******** that he's related to PK. LOL this board is hilarious to read...

It baffles me that people think we now have to stop booing PK now that we have a Subban.

Two different players. I'll continue to boo PK.

Your right on the money.. you take the BPA on your board every time. If you don't you will end up regreting it.

Don't understand how some of you are saying, "Potential # 1 goalie versus 3/4 defenseman."

Lots of people don't like Subban, and don't think he was a first rounder. How is his potential/risk versus reward any different from the 3 or 4 other guys they may have taken there?

Can't have it both ways.

Did the Devils keep this pick thinking that a goalie would be on the board?

Which poster feels this way?

Point him/her out.

Seems most people that dislike the pick, like me, still like the fact that he is PKs brother because it is awesome for the feud.

Straw maaaaaaan.

So here is an important question on Subban.

Since his profile reads exactly like a young Tim Thomas, is he willing to grow a creepy 70s porn star mustache?
