Martin Frk will be the biggest steal of this draft

Last year he played on an absolutely terrible Halifax Moosehead team finishing 2nd in team scoring as a 16 year old.

Looked amazing in pre season this year before suffering a concussion and missing almost all of the regular season.

Returned to the line up and admittingly he looked sluggish and out of shape.

Trained extremely hard so far in the off season and I believe placed 5 or 6th in the V02 bike tests.

At one point was a sure fire top 10 pick, will have an amazing season next year developing and leading a Mem cup contender in Halifax.

Without a doubt has one of the best set of hands in this draft as well as one of the best releases, he's an extreme competitor and by the looks of it will slip into the 2nd round.

He's going to make the team who selects him in the 2nd round a very very happy team.

I am going to bookmark this thread and cannot wait to bump in a year or two.

I agree, I'd be ecstatic if he falls to Detroit's second.

Or when Pulkkinen fell to them in 2010.

If he can improve his skating, he can for sure be a steal. That kid got an extremely heavy shot..

I know he has been training extremely hard throughout the offseason. I was however shocked that he placed as high as he did in the V02 tests, especially after all I heard about him was how lazy, out of shape etc.. he was.

It goes to show that you have to look at the full picture and not just at that point. The people cough.. Bob Mackenzie, were basing this off watching him as soon as he got back from his concussion.

Ya it's pretty out of the ordinary that top NHLers slip through the 1st round.... Do I really need to list examples? Thanks for the contribution.

I fully agree, whoever takes him is getting a great goal scorer.

I feel the same way, unless they decide to strengthen goal and go with Dansk.

He's a late birthday. He was a 17 year old last year.

He's been on the radar for so long I assumed he would have been drafted already.

Skating is very choppy. He will improve on it, but by how much? Is the main question.

If his skating was above average, no doubt he would've been in the top 20.
