I really don't think it has anything to do with intelligence.

Yes, as a matter off act, I think the average HF poster has greater intelligence when it comes to the game of hockey than given credit for.

But the difference between us and the professionals, is knowledge and experience. It doesn't matter how smart we are when speculating on player movement, because the truth of the matter is, none of us really know what's going on on the inside.

For example, a poster can come on here and evaluate Bobby Ryan's game, and what he should be worth in the market, and absolutely hit the nail on the head, but they still don't have any real inside knowledge of Bobby Ryan's actual market value and exactly what offers have already been made and discussed.

HF isn't stupid, it's ignorant, and there's a big difference.

No, you are all more stupid than you think.

A million monkeys writing on a million typewriters would eventually write the works of Shakespeare. That's not all that far away from what happened, except it took you guys 5,000 freaking threads.

I don't think we're smart at all haha. The media has been all over Staal all year saying he's going to want out and he wants to play with his brother. If it weren't for the media, we wouldn't know a damn thing.

With the amount of trade proposals that get posted here some are bound to be correct or close to an eventual actual deal. Overall I don't think HF is smart, there's plenty of dumb here and the overvaluation of picks and prospects compared to actual NHL players is ridiculous.

Phoenix made out like bandits in both the Vermette trade and Michalek trade.

It's called confirmation bias. You are remembering the times that support your position, and not the thousands of times that contradict it.

I'm going to predict a crazy thing with my psychic abilities that Ryan goes to Flyers.
