In a defense-heavy draft the Leafs took a lot of defensemen ... Who knew

With the season he had, I thought he would for sure get picked.

Can someone remind me what we did with our 3rd and 4th round picks this year. I can't remember what trades they were a part of. B Thx

Really happy with this draft. Leafs seemed to go for BPA, and got an elite d-man and another that can be a top 4 guy.

It's nice to be so stacked on the back end. As they develop, they'll either join the team, or be moved for help at another position.

Great job by Dave Morrision.

4th was for Steckel IIRC

3rd was in a trade last season I think too...

The 4th went for Steckel
The 3rd was used to move up and draft Olden who isn't Leafs property anymore

I think it's premature to be throwing accolades around, but that's just me.

So Edmonton needs defense badly, they take 4/5 of their picks as forwards

The Toronto Maple Leafs' third-round pick went to the Nashville Predators as the result of a trade on June 25, 2011 that sent a third-round pick in 2011 to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a sixth-round pick in 2011 and this pick.[17]
Los Angeles previously acquired the pick as the result of a trade on June 26, 2010 that sent a third-round pick in 2010 to Toronto in exchange for this pick.[35]

The Toronto Maple Leafs' fourth-round pick went to the New Jersey Devils as the result of a trade on October 4, 2011 that sent Dave Steckel to Toronto in exchange for this pick.[48]

I thought Michael Houser would have been finally drafted this year. A potential undrafted prospect to sign.

they draft BFA

Best Forward Avalaible. Too bad Tambellini's offseason starts and ends at the draft.

Burke was drafting all the defensemen and Tambellini and Lowe were drafting all the forwards. Sounds like there still some animosity there.

Favorite teams this draft: Habs, Caps, Pitts (picks, trades, and cap space). Add in Columbus.
