I like our draft, although it's the second year in a row we took a defenseman with our 2nd pick, while there were solid forwards with solid potential on the board.

Much like Percy, the Finn pick will gow on me.

Love the Rielly pick...so glad we didn't go with Faksa or Trouba at 5.

Yep, that Steckel trade is starting to bug me, if they wanted faceoffs we had a guy in Ziggy. Losing out on Gemel Smith in retrospect due to this trade leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Dallas was sharp enough to take him, they got a good character player, that will be a top 9 fwd in a few years.

Not a bad idea considering how many right-side guys we have now. Phaneuf, Schenn, Komisarek, Franson.... plus Holzer and Blacker looking to make the big club in the next year or so.

yea, it makes a lot of sense to me... guess they were kind of going by positional needs as well

Forsberg is a C? Swear he was listed as a winger? Don't we need Centers?

CAuse we need a 3rd liner...

Honestly I don't care about this draft. I think Burke messed up and the biggest bonus we could've gotten was Forsberg or Grink at 5 and then a guy like Collberg at 35th..

Rielly is a good pick but he's a 5th overall, that's expected

Finn was a garbage pick.

And why did you pick Loov, just take a chance on Ebert goddanm.

I'm pretty sure Matt Rupert was invited to come to the Leafs prospect camp already.

We can call him the "loove defender." He "guards and protects your net..."

Hmmmmmmm?...

Finn has some nice potential also and was ranked higher than he was taken.

we were offered a 1st round pick for Schenn in the '09 draft that was NOT top 10 ....

i wonder what pick he could've gotten now after his bad season ... 15-20?

dont get me wrong, i wouldnt want to trade him
