Each team selected a player with their allotted first round pick and added one more body to the organization. How did the leafs stand pat vs what the habs and bruins did?

remember our gm has no interest in acquiring a #1C or #1G, only the two most positions on the ice

Dansk
Collberg
Frk
Finn
Sutter

In that order please

I'd love Burke to pick up some more picks and grab a couple of these guys.

i want collberg or finn. but really want collberg, since we don't have picks in rounds 3 and 4, burke should trade for picks, since we have 2 straight picks in 6th round, maybe move those and a lower asset to draft higher, just my idea, i think we need to stockpile on talent, burke even hinted at possibillity of taking a G

Saw this posted on draft board. It works:

Quote:
Navigate to NHL.com > Video > Channel: Press Room > 2012 NHL Draft: Rounds 2-7. The event hasn't gone live yet so it should say not yet available or something to that effect.

Won't be long until today's whining begins.

Of course, I guess you could consider that the start.

If we trade down we better pick up a good return

Still can't get over the Sabres grabbing two big centers who both received top 5 ratings from different agencies.

Just think if Grigorenko hadn't played with a high ankle sprain and mono, and had a healthy year?

Someone was discrediting Girgensons ranking because of his competition, and low and behold I see highlights and he's playing against Trouba. So Girgensons competition isn't high enough, but Trouba doesn't get the same smack? Wonder if Trouba was Swiss if he would have been ranked so high?

Strength down the middle, going forward: Grigorenko, Hodgson, Girgensons.

Leafs have a lot of catching up to do, and these centers just aren't available in the free agent market.

Teams passed on Grigs for other reasons (compete level + Russian factor). Injuries had nothing to do with the drop.

Don't get me wrong, I like Morgan Reilley as a pick, but man is that what we really lacked? I would have loved to have Grigerenko.

Lets see how Burke redeems himself

It seems that Burke picked a guy who competes and trains hard vs a guy who has character issues.
