Collberg created a good scoring chance on the PP he was in on, a deke followed by a backhand pass to the slot where a player got a good shot of and a rebound opportunity.

Up to 4 minutes now, so he's played in the 3rd while his team is nursing a 1 goal lead.

Up to 6 minutes. Progress!

2nd skott late in the 3rd.

So you don't trust the kid to play regularly when your lineup is healthy, yet he's on the ice in a 2-2 game with 3 minutes left?

Frölunda receive dividends for a good replacement zipper without Kahnberg. Collberg shoots and Tolsa overthrow it, and press enter 3-2. It is approved for Video Preview.

is Collberg the replacement zipper? LOL. Finally a point though!

Definitely the single assist I'm the most ecstatic about since I don't remember when...

Interesting to see how good things happen when he's finally given a real offensive chance.

Funny thing is that in the featured game Brynäs vs. Linköping the studio in Stockholm was talking about Collberg in the first intermission, saying he needs to play. In the second most focus is on him playing all the sudden on the first line and first PP unit, and then after the game praising his game.

Maybe someone is pulling some strings?

Good for him, I hope this allows him to get some playing time next game, and he builds on it. He needs to take it one game at a time, as it seems like that's all he's going to get.

Doubt the coach let anyone else decide what is best for his team. Just the media speaking their mind, with good timing.

If you're talking about the Habs brass, they have no impact or influence what so ever on what happens in the SEL. Why would they? SEL teams play to win, not to develop kids that will leave the league after the season is over.

His agent maybe?

Hopefully Collberg continues getting more icetime, it will be huge for his confidence.

I'm certain Habs brass spoke with Collberg and Frolunda's management, although I doubt they pushed for more play time for Collberg. He's a highly touted prospect, they don't need to put pressure on Frolunda to play him. The example ofSwedish media saying he needs to playshouldgive an idea of what the popular opinion is.

One of the few mentioned so far who might actually have some say here. Even without considering the NHL at all - which is probably the case - his client would still be up for contract talks at the end of the year, and could push for a fair chance for Collberg to prove his worth. I don't believe that the coach would have felt any pressure either way, and probably just got good results from throwing Collberg his first real bone when he had a chance.
