Quick notes:

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospec...olas_kerdiles/

Quote:
In 18 USHL games with the NDTP he scored 4 goals with 9 assists and had 18 penalty minutes. Kerdiles scored 4 goals with 5 assists and was plus-8 as the USA won gold at the U18 level for the fourth straight year. Kerdiles was ranked 29th amongst North American skaters in Central Scouting’s final rankings prior to the 2012 NHL Draft.

Kerdiles was ranked in the 20's or 30's in a lot of the mock drafts that I read. The Ducks pick at 36 is probably about right.

He can play center or left wing, both of which are needs, and coming from Irvine I don't see him bolting from the Ducks after attending Wisconsin like some defenseman whose name I have now forgotten. This pick gives us three Southern Californians in the organization. I wonder if any other team has that many.

Kerdiles compares his game to Ryan Kesler.

It really feels cool that this kid is like many of us, with the exception that he actually has some talent.

He's living the dream. How many of us have played a hockey video game, made a character named after ourselves and drafted him to the Ducks? I know I have.

I hope he gets to play with Teemu. At least in training camp.

Every single year I'm drafted by Dallas or Edmonton. Every. Single. Year.

Wait, where does it say he's a stars fan? I've heard people saying this, but never see any sources. I choose not to believe it. It's too much of a feel good story to believe otherwise.

I haven't seen Stars but here it says one of his favorite players is the Duck killer himself. He was also born in Texas so yeah.
