Nice signing! Speedy, offensive D-man? Awesome.
Also, our depth is starting to get ridiculous. And it's not a bad thing at all.

So, who's gonna be contract #50? Or do we keep that one slot open?

Connelly led all AHL defensemen in scoring last season with 52 points (6-46=52) while playing for Rockford and Abbotsford. More to come.

Connelly was teammates with both Nate Prosser and Chad Rau at Colorado College. He led team D-men in scoring in 08-09 with 27 pts.

Looks like he will play with both players again.

Damn, if we hadn't let Leddy go, we'd be only a couple more signings from a fairly legitimate MN/WI All Star team that was pretty darn good.

Wow, is Houston gonna be fun to watch next season.
BTW, if you search Brian Connolly on Google, you'll get the singer of the band Sweet:

Know Brian and his family fairly well. Congrats to him. He pleaded the Hawks to trade him the last few years and that was never realized like he had hoped.

Nice. I do wonder how many guys the Solar Bears will end up getting in the E, Houston sounds stacked, and with a back up at the NHL level, it looks like the AHL level might have that same issue, and they may get some quality guys down there to develop.

Don't know much about the kid, but from what I can see from looking at stats, he looks to be a solid signing for us at D. Most likely will be seeing some NHL ice time soon for the Wild.

I mean I know this kid is small in stature, but is he like Spurgeon, defensively sound/ good decision making? This kid is a point machine, at least in the AHL level I would love it if he transitions well to the NHL. Streit, Karlsson, and Boyle are all guys that are not big but they are great offensive dmen. Not saying he is the next karlsson by any means, just trying to make a point.

This signing is probably a bad sign for Genoway fans.

I would've thought Genoway's play in his call-up was a bad sign for Genoway fans...

Let's not forget the QO's which make it to 49 right now.
EDIT: McIntyre, Palmer and Palmieri. (+ Almond who is gone to Europe)
