Does it matter? The value of Asham is at best a conditional 7th.

I doubt it's about trade value, as he obviously has none right now, but where he could potentially go and for how much.

Asham has a place in this league...honestly I'd just prefer it not be with the Penguins at this point.

That would make more sense. I agree Asham would be a guy that I wouldn't mind having on my team. I see him getting a similar deal as he did last year 1-2 years around 800k.

Wouldn't mind the Ducks giving him a go, would be an upgrade on Parros I dare say.

Im dumb...but not near dumb enough to be talking about trade value...sorry for confusion...

In response to Big. Why do you feel that way? Too much "goonery"?
I just love the guy (minus out line stuff)

I think a lot of Philly fans would take him back on the 4th line (if there was room).

He will obviously join the Rangers, last team on his Atlantic trip.

Would like him back with the Penguins, hopefully he will sign pretty cheap.

I've wanted him back on the Habs for a long long time. Perfect 4th liner.

I doubt that.

I liked Asham in Pittsburgh, but I think it just might be time to move on. Seems like a great guy, just loses his cool and gets caught up in the moment some of the time. I think he ends up in Winnipeg on a 1-2 year deal worth about $800-900K.

Might as well sign with the Rangers. Only Atlantic team has hasn't played for.

What is his game like with the gloves on? Especially in his own zone?

Out of nowhere he can have a canon shot, but he's really slow. He hits, but in today's game he doesn't get up there fast enough.

In his zone- he doesn't really have the defensive responsibility, but he's great at chipping pucks out. So he won't help or hurt, but wingers don't typically do too much unless it's a collapse d-zone.

At this point, he's a good 4th liner but really not worth more than 700k. I think he needs a change of scenery and has run out of time in Pittsburgh.
