I think this is the pick i'm most excited about (other than Yaks). He clearly has the skill to play in our top-six, and that interview was just awesome. I like this russian thing we got going.
In his interview he did talk about how he wanted to add a physical edge to his game.
He is going to have too. Basically hates to be hit at all.
If he has ANY chance for the show he is going to have to be more physical and not back down from contact.
Complete boom or bust pick. Frankly, this is going to be one of those drafts where few players make it, so nothing wrong with taking a chance. No problem with this pick in the 4th round but it is not as great a pick as many in this thread think. It is a good pick for sure though.
Snagging this guy in the 3rd round makes drafting Moroz look better. If you switch them up, all of a sudden we had a spectacular second and third round.

Quite a bit of hyperbole there. Sounds like you think he's more timid than Patrick O'Sullivan. He goes into the rough areas. He takes contact fine. He's the first guy to fight for a puck along the boards.
He's definitely not a complete boom or bust pick either. He has a good mind for the defensive game. He and Gaunce were one of the better duos in the league for two-way ability.
He has all the tools to play in the NHL, but he's terribly inconsistent right now. Which is fairly understandable as an OHL rookie who started off the season with a broken collarbone in the preseason.

Exactly, they picked all three to hedge their bet, since they drafted for the same need for three selections
Nah, we used LA's 3rd rounder to pick him. He was the last pick in the 3rd round.
Gustafsson was our 4th rounder two picks later.
The more I hear about both the kids drafted in the third the more excited I am by them. Zharkov has a decent chance to get into our top 6 in 4 years or so, and Khaira the more I hear and read about him, the more I think he's going to be a tank on our third line somewhere down the road.
