Is his potential more towards Clarkson or Eric Boulton?
He has way more potential then Boulton and he may score 30 a year provided he don't just disappear . He was so frustrating at times to watch during the year but he has improved over the previous year which was very frustrating since he wouldn't show up for most games. At least now he has built up some muscle and don't disappear as much . Come a physical game he is a player that will make you pay for taking liberties to the star players .I believe Deboer is a coach that can provide the spark he needs .
I see him similiar to what we see in Clarkson but with better skating so an improvement .He could sneak in as a 2nd line player but I see him as a 3rd line player
He's a good kid and he tries really hard. He did score the best goal of the year in playoffs this year:
He'll fight (although he's not good at it) and he bangs bodies. He somehow gets more than his fair share of breakaways but his hands are pretty much cement.
He did provide a surprising offensive role towards the end of the season, so maybe he's turned a corner. I've been waiting a while. I want to like the kid, but he's given me more facepalm moments than any other Kitchener Ranger in years.
Skating needs a bit of work, but defensively he's good. He played on the top line in Kitchener and did the lion's share of the defensive work and made room for his smaller linemates.
No, he played with Michael Catenacci and Tobias Reider most of the year. Last year, he played mostly 3rd line (and didn't deserve anything more). Definite 4th line material, and could be just fine there. He works really hard.
He will likely see some time with Faksa this year though.
