Love the Rangers pick at 119. Andersson outshone Lindholm and Bystrom at times this year during national team play

I though Hakan would jump at Calle Andersson with Detroits pick. But no.

Wasnt Andersson projected to go in 2nd round? Unless I've mistaken him with someone else.

Wow, very nice pick. Fast offensive defenseman. Again with the great skating, which is a good thing to see.

Haha that too!

The thing about Nash is that while, yes he is VERY skilled, he will kill your cap. You might as well trade Stepan, MDZ and Arty for him because if you get Nash you won't be able to afford the other three when their current contracts are up.

Big, strong kid who is a beautiful skater. Bread and butter is his offense and ability to transition the puck. Great vision. Needs work on his defensive coverage.

they didnt say they dont want Prust they said he wants too much money...........he's not gone as I am sure they will keep their offer on the table July 1st......Prust should take it since he found a home in NY but if he wants more money he's a goner

ps 149 pick for John Scott.........really? what a waste

That comparison sucks, because Christian Backman is horrible. Yes, there are similarities, but I like Andersson's offense more than Backman's.

Backman is a loser and a total nightmare in his own zone. I love Swedes, and Backman might be my least favorite Swede of the last 10-15 years.

But didn't you just say the kid isn't great in his own zone? So somewhere between not great and a total nightmare? lol

Calle Andersson is the son of former #NYR Peter Andersson, who played 39 games with Blueshirts in early 1990's
