I actually agree with this.

LOL. Coaches love Mike Rupp. He's a big, strong 4th liner who can fight, carry the puck, and score, who you can move up and down the lineup, and who is a leader in the room. That's on top of the fact that he's one of the smarter, better educated players in the league.

As for those seeking immediate help, Pearson, I think we can agree, was the one guy we had a chance to get who could help next year. We were probably better off doing what we've done, and now, with LA apparently not standing still, who/what picks could we move for Alec Martinez (D who can shoot) + Peason + X? Say Kings add, and we send Stepan.
Then to make room for Martinez, maybe we move Marc Staal + to Canes for Skinner +, reuniting the Staals, and giving us a gifted G scorer, what we hope Stepan will be, but doesn't have the scoring ability to be.
But we traded our 3rd for a 3rd, not a 2nd, no?

There is the mystery off-the-board pick.

But I think they had to expect more from him on the score sheets, no? Granted he was banged up a bit.

If they expected more from him, Tortorella should have moved him around the lineup more like other teams have done with him.
That's on the coach, not on Rupp. In the playoffs, Rupp should have seen time with Richards and Gaborik.

Rangers appeared to take Thomas Spelling with that 5th round pick they traded for.
Interesting pick. If I remember right, big and fast with a little skill. Powerforward type. Danish too.

Do you think we are done now? Makarov is still on the board, wouldn't be against trading again to grab him, we need a better goalie in the system

Sather was hungry this morning so he traded for a Danish, good thing he at least got the Spelling correct with the selection.

my apology.
Multiple posts and I thought the one about the 2nd was accurate update/clarification, but apparently not.
We still good.

No worries, I wish it was our 3rd for their '13 2nd...or their '13 3rd and a '12 5th or 6th. But it's not the end of the world.
