Passionate player that just didn't seem to click in Toronto. We did see some flashes of brilliance from the Monster though. Considering how tough he had it I honestly felt bad for him during his entire tenure here. He was terribly inconsistent, but carried the Leafs from time to time, he had a terrible streak of bad luck with the heart surgery and both his parents passing away.
Nope. The way Burke labels his goalie prospects I wouldn't get your hopes up though.
Some of us like Scrivens because we've watched him play, not because we only blindly follow what our GM says. Scrivens can still improve and has shown consistency in the AHL as one of the best goalies down there.
Have any of you seen Gus play? He just couldn't handle the pressure in Toronto. There is a reason teams were bidding for him when he decided to come to the NHL, and when he was good for the Leafs, he was GREAT. He will shine on a team that doesn't have the media coverage that Toronto has
