Please tell me Therrien was kidding around

EDIT: Pic is now down for some reason. Viewable pic of it: http://twitter.yfrog.com/ny783dj

That picture came from Dave Stubbs on twitter, who did an excellent feature on Therrien in today's Gazette.

Look at where the names are on the depth chart...now it's possible he was just fooling around with his depth chart or something, but still:

Eller 2nd line LW when he never does well on the wing? Prust 3rd line C? Kaberle with Gorges? SUBBAN ON THE 3RD PAIR? Gallagher wasting away on the 4th? Yikes.

I like the Moen - Prust - Armstrong line.

At this stage, he's just trying things anyway... don't worry.

Pre-season didn't even start yet, and that's not a depth chart. Impossible.

It's possible it's lines for a pre-season game or training camp scrimmages.

Still, this does not inspire much confidence, especially after his ''Subban is a nice project'' comments 2-3 weeks. He's your best defenceman, accept it already.

Subban is too sofff, if only he was more like Boullion.

I think it's too early to tell that...!

If it's official, it must means that Bourque will be traded!!!

Looks pretty close to one. Names in black are the new additions.

I think Prust has played center in the NHL before. Notice he's listed as one for the Flames: http://flames.nhl.com/club/player.htm?id=8471283

I think Subban will start off on the bottom pairing but Kaberle will play his way down there soon enough.

He's on the sideline for 8-12 weeks... Abdominal surgery.

Prust's faceoffs taken in his NHL career:
2006-07: 0
2008-09: 31
2009-10: 31
2010-11: 9
2011-12: 5

So it seems he probably has played center at times.

I would love Moen-Prust-Armstrong as a 4th line. Or put White instead of one of Moen/Armdog and have one of them on the 3rd line.

It's not that bad imo plus at this stage it'd be for pre-season where experiments are usually attempted. I've suggested before putting Kaberle with Gorges as a solid 2nd pairing so you don't have to shelter Kaberle's minutes but rather put him with one of the best defensive defenseman in the game today and Gorges has also proven he can play on his offside with no problem. I like putting Eller on the 2nd line but he hasn't proven that he can play on the wing yet. I also like that 3rd line although I was unaware that Prust was able to play center. Although I really don't understand the idea of putting Subban on the third pairing with Bouillon, it doesn't do us any good. Put Markov with Subban (Lefty with righty) and let them play top minutes or try to balance the ice time with your top 4 and put Emelin on his natural side with a solid veteran that can have his back in Bouillon. Beside that it looks good and I'm surprise to see Gallagher ahead of Leblanc on his depth chart.

That you think there won't be a season (which is certainly way too premature to suggest, IMO) is irrelevant because Therrien has stated several times he's preparing for camp to open on time.

And yes, we care...because Therrien has a lot to prove in terms of managing his roster. Especially when it comes to managing young defenceman. I witnessed Patrick Traverse playing way too many games during his last tenure here when better options existed.

A little OT but do you guys think/know if the rookie camp will happen even with the possible lockout?

I think it would be just lines for training camp.

i like Eller in top 6 even if it on the wing. he need to get some offensive min. And i think that will be a good line with Pleks

At least it confirms that they are considering Gomez on wing. i would like to see how that works out.

Prust at senter not great imo

I like the D pairing for camp. I think Bouillon can teach Subban a few things.

Im sure they would change as season evolves

How can he justify starting Subban on the bottom pairing

Oh god I think I already want him fired. Bergevin, what did you DO!

I'm going to have nightmares of Bill Lindsay taking a crucial faceoff again.

It's hard to say. In theory, those prospects are not NHLPA members. So they wouldn't be locked out.

But I don't know if there's a point in having a mid-September rookie camp if there's no training camp right after.

In all this CBA drama we've seem to have forgotten that Therrien really isn't the "sharpest" coach in the shed.

It'll be an interesting season, that's for sure.

meh, it's not that bad. I would be a lot more scared if he had Gomez on the second line.

Your right, my bad.... Forgot about that one.

The real downer for me in this lineup, is that Schultz seems far on the depth chart of Therrien
