No, Shawinigan are rebuilding after winning the Memorial Cup. Zlobin has been traded to Val d'Or who are expected to be very competitive next season.

Anton Zlobin? Love the name. Makes up for drafting a guy named Teddy Booger or whatever.

You must be referring to the now re-named Teddy Beluga.

Is Paula Deen in the 8 or the 2?

She's in the (Type) 2. Tom Hanks is the other one. Not a fan of drafting Beluga.

Burgundy's subliminal commentings earlier in the weekend have me on heightened alert.

Seems like a really good kid. Serious potential. I love this pick, whether or not he pans out. These are the types of players you want in your organization.

I'm really intrigued by Zlobin. He was well over a PPG this year and had respectable numbers last year, his first in the Q. His size shouldn't be too detrimental either.

Zlobin become an 87 overall and an impact player on my top line in Be A GM. So he's gotta be legit.

Clutch player, both goals against the Knights in the final including the OT winner. Love this late pick by Shero

9 pts in 6 games at the Memorial Cup

Gotta love the video in the first post. Looks like 75% of the goals are from takeaways on the lone man forecheck

I don't see the K as being a threat, if he sees the K as an option it's only because the Pens don't see enough of a future with him to sign him to play in the AHL to develop.

That's not a bad thing.

You never know, sometimes it can be difficult to get Russians to go to the AHL when they can make better money back home. He'll definitely need at least 1 year in the AHL and probably 2.
