Biggest fall from grace in Draft history? Talk about motivation to prove the scouts wrong.

I'll take it....high risk, high reward....no shame in that game...the Kings organization is no nonsense they will find out really quick if he has it in him to be a true pro

if it doesnt work out, who cares...it was the last pick....but if he does, the Kings could have found a gem

Only one I can think of is Steven Anthony who was touted to go top 5 with Tavares when he was 16 and the Canucks got him in the 7th

Only question is if this lights a fire under his butt and propels him or if he just rolls into a ball and does nothing, making even his Mr. Irrelevant draft pick seem like a waste.

Last pick in a draft is high risk?

What happened is that he read his own press clippings and didn't put the work in last off-season, opting to party it up with his buddies back in Jersey. His rookie year playing with Ryan Ellis made him think the OHL was easy I guess. He had a rude awakening this season - but through all his crummy play he seemed to not grasp it and questioned the ranking systems when he was falling and was surprised he wasn't invited to the scouting combine and even in recent interviews about the draft he seemed to think he'd still be a early rounds pick.

He might say all the right things about this motivating him and all that lip service, but I think this will break him. I don't see him hitting the gym as we speak, but rather drowning his sorrows...

I almost wish he didnt get drafted at all.....who knows how this motivates him now, but it is pretty sad that him and Gianluca Curcuruto went in the 7th round of this draft
