Brandon Sutter

Not wanting to trade him. Just wondering what you would give up for him? Could someone give a scouting report and what he's good at and not?

He's a poor driver, but he's above average at chess.

I would give up Jordan Staal for him, Domoulin and a 1st

He is going to be a great 3rd line center.

if you put him with a top 10 pick and a good D prospect, he should be able to net you someone like Jordan Staal

Was going to say best 3rd line C but that would get mixed results with different styles of plays, ie shutdown/physical

Way more than that. He's one of those guys who's defensive proficiency makes him significantly more valuable than his offense would lead you to believe. I honestly think he's a better pure checking center than Staal right now.

Thanks, you guys are the only non jokers here. I wouldnt trade him for a mid-late 1st though, because we need a 3rd line center.

Ooh! Ooh!

I think he is worth Jordan Staal less the 8th pick overall and a D prospect.

See what I did there?

As a Blues fan I would gladly give you Jordan Schmalzt and Sam Kurker for him. I would be willing to add to that as well so that's a late first plus a late 2nd plus.

Bryan Little to Pittsburgh for Sutter and a pick. Carolina's collecting Staals. Winnipeg's gonna collect Sutters!

Sutter could probably get you a player like Jordan Staal if you package him with a good prospect and a 1st.

LOL what a homer you are! You think table scraps such as Sutter and a draft pick would net you a player of Staal's caliber? Please, no GM in the league would accept a deal like that, especially the 'Canes who are in win-now mode.

Sutter was easily worth the 11th pick in his draft. Mid-late 1st isn't enough.

Pointless thing to ponder, but if we're just trying to figure out his value for the hell of it I'd say it would be a pick in that 8-12 range of the first round.

You have one Sutter and all of a sudden you're collecting them? Canes had 3, now they have 2.

Pretty much. If the 'Canes were to deal Jordan Staal, it would not be for futures. They never deal for futures, ever.

If the 'Canes were trading Jordan Staal for players off their own roster, they would require Skinner, Faulk and a 1st at minimum.

You are funny funny guy, but honestly, now that you actually have him, you would not trade Jordan Staal for Sam Gagner and a 2nd either, would you?

To be fair, Brody and especially Brett are fringe NHLers at best.
