... are we primed to move a forward for another asset?
If they keep the Lupul-Bozak-Kessel (barring some inconceivable trade for a #1 centreman) line and the MacArthur-Grabo-Kulemin line stay together, is it possible we look at moving someone?
Wouldn't surprise me to see MacArthur moved... but I'm curious to find out what everyone else thinks. Maybe he goes to Vancouver in a Luongo deal? Dealt for third line grit?
Lupul - _____ - Kessel - Top Line
JVR - Grabo - Kulie - Two-Way Shutdown Line
Kadri - _____ - Frattin - Sheltered Scoring Line
Brown - Steckle - _____ - Energy Line
We need a 1st line C, elite level play maker, has speed can play D - ( Stastny? )
We need a 3rd line C, size can shut people down with some scoring touch - ( Gaustad? )
We need a 4th line winger, intimidating, big, physical ( Prust?)

With the signing of Leo Komarov and the emergence of Frattin, I don't think 3rd line grit is a priority. I can see Cmac going with Army for Lu...they need some people with pushback as much as we need a goalie
Lupul - _____ - Kessel - Top Line
JVR - Grabo - Kulie - Two-Way Shutdown Line
Kadri - Bozak - Frattin - Sheltered Scoring Line
Brown - Steckle - Parros - Energy Line Crabb
Phanuef-Gunnarson
Liles- Holzer
Gardiner- Lashoff*
*If we land Schultz insert here.
LU

Lombardi, Armstrong, Conolly, Rosehill- you are correct, need to be moved for draft picks
All don't really fit in any more.
We need a 1st line C, elite level play maker, has speed can play D - ( Stastny? )
We need a 3rd line C, size can shut people down with some scoring touch - ( Gaustad? )

Prust is really right now gonna re-sign with the .
IMO Will trade Mac + Franson for a 1st line centre. You hit the nail on the head with Stastny. With the Duchene signing...I believe Paul is not too impressed as he might even be competing with Ryan O'Reilly for the second line centre spot now. Then Komisarek + prospect maybe for Lu? Bozak can definitely play on the 3rd centre role. 4th line I am hoping Parros. I do like Crabb and I am hoping we resign him.

Lupul - XXXX - Kessel Top Line
Kulemin - Grabovski - Frattin Shutdown Line
JVR - XXXX - Kadri Scoring Line < --- Bozak?
XXXX - Steckle - Brown Energy line
Personally my interpretation of the top 6 bottom 6 was a little different...
Does this mean Kadri should be played on the 3rd line? and that Kadri will only be a 3rd or 1st liner for us?
edit: also how good is JVR's two-way game? I never thought it was very good, but to be honest I don't watch him very often...
Joffrey Lupul - Tyler Bozak - Phil Kessel
James van Riemsdyk - Mikhail Grabovski - Nikolai Kulemin
Nazem Kadri - Tim Connolly - Matt Frattin
Jerry D'Amigo - David Steckel - Mike Brown
Leo Komarov
Clarke MacArthur gets moved out for picks or prospects, or maybe in a package to upgrade the top-6.
Matthew Lombardi and Colby Armstrong are gone - traded for anything or in the minors.
Wingers not included there are Lombardi, Armstrong, Kadri who all have very realistic chances at making the team or are for sure gunna be there.
Which leaves Bozak, Lombardi(plays both C and W), Connolly, Colborne to battle for the first and third line C posititions(assuming Steckel is #4 and Grabo #2)
What about signing Jagr to play on the same line as JVR. Jagr is risk free, still full of talent, 1 year deal, 2 Flyers in our top 6 that can provide either secondary, or top 3 scoring (depending on who's hot, who's injured) and drastically improve our top 6 forwards.
