Id guess we go:

Iginla - Glencross- Cammalleri

Wideman - Tanguay

-Iggy and Cammy play off wings on the PP, I dont see them taking Tanguay off the point just yet.

Baertschi - Cervenka - Stempniak

Brodie/Bouw - Giordano

- If Cammalleri is playing with Iginla this should be the PP line. Brodie needs/deserves PP time, but with our options on the point who knows if he gets it right off the bat.

My thinking was use Jbo as a passer and Wideman as a shooter also Jbo is more efficient than Gio is on the pp. I also like having Cammy and Sven together as either players will cheat to Cammy giving Sven more room or Sven can set up Cammy.

Then you're probably going to be done with the Flames at some point this season.

Oh i understand your reasoning and it makes a lot of sense. FWIW those arent my lines, but what I assume will happen. Your pairings have a lot of logic behind them but everything the coaching staff has done over the last few years has defied logic

So our real PP will be:

Bouwmeester - Wideman - Brodie

Giordano - Butler

Over 6 mil in cap space I hope we can get Jokinen on a 2 year 12 million dollar deal.

He might not. Feaster might want to develop him more patiently instead of rushing him.

I can't express how happy I am now that he is gone.

To be honest there is nothing left for him to do in the CHL. He killed it this year (killed it in the nhl as well). Because he was drafted out of the CHL he can't go to the AHL, I see no reason for him at all to go back to Portland other than go for 3 ppg .

Actually IIRC because of some weird reason he is AHL eligible next season. Not that it should matter as I expect him to tear up training camp and make the team.

Yeah it's his age - he's AHL eligible for next season.

O really? that is great news, I still think he is 100% nhl ready but knowing he won't have to go back to the WHL makes me very happy.

This team is built to rebuild in 2 years (thus all the 2 year deals) as we have only 4 (5 including Sven) signed and only 15-16 million committed it is the best way to give Iggy and Kipper a last chance.

He's a '92 birthday which makes him and all other '92 born players out of the CHL eligible for the AHL. He'd be considered an overager if he went back to Portland.

So its not a weird reason, just a legitimate one

I'm guessing for some reason that Bearschi is going to Abby. I hope he makes the team however, as his energy is crutial to the Flames to get off to a solid start.

The signed roster for 2014-2015 would be:

Tanguay
Glencross
Wideman
Giordano

Add likely Players like:

Iginla
Baertschi
Backlund
Brodie
Ramo
Irving
Cervenka (maybe)
Kipper(maybe)
Bouwmeester (maybe)
Cammalleri (maybe)

Prospects who should be ready like:

Horak
Gaudreau
Ferland
Reinhart
Seiloff
Granlund
Jankowski (maybe)
2013 1st round draft pick
Arnold
Ramage

Potential FA like:

Getzlaf
Perry
Ribiero
Fisher
Lupul
Roy
Zajac
Enstrom
Clowe
Edler

And the roster will be completely different in 2 seasons.

Most people don't understand the subtle genius Mr. Feaster just pulled. Outside if Wideman, two years were only given. Even comeaus contract was going to be two.

Lines the team for a rebuild that doesn't involve us losing all season.
