Doug Armstrong says team can add a big salary i.e Jay Bouwmeester but will have to creative to make it work #stlblues

Not sure if Bouwmeester means anything in that tweet, but what would Calgary want. We have talked about Giordano on here and Bouwmeester was never brought up because of his salary. Now that he could be a possibility, what would he cost in a trade?

I doubt that St Louis even considers that.

I'm guessing that we will have to move D'Agostini, Crombeen, and Russell to make room for salaries. Not saying they have to go to Calgary, but at least in seperate deals. If there is any interest at all in any of them, I'm sure Armstrong would throw them in.

What about a pick (1st or 2nd), McRae, and Russell/D'Agostini.

We could meet in the middle for the pick and make it the Ottawa 2nd.

D'Agostini and Ottawa's second seems pretty fair, given the finances involved and the return for Visnovsky.

I agree with you on Dags and Crombeen, but I disagree on Russell. We have an surplus of wingers, but not LD. Russell is only making 1.3 according to Capgeek.

Bouwmeester is terrible and is owed $13.2 million over the next two seasons. No thanks; I'd feel more comfortable letting Cole play top-pairing minutes.
