I think the Leafs might be targeting Stewart if they're talking to the Blues.

I heard this today, but let me remind you it's from a buddy who works for the Sens (and when i mean sens - i mean he does physiotherapy on some players)

But he was saying that Burke was considering a trade for Radulov's RFA rights for Franson's RFA rights.....

Let me also finish by saying I dont buy it for a second, Radulov doesn't seem like a good fit here, let a lone a good fit in the NHL.

Makes a lot of sense.

He's already committed to the KHL next season.

Perfect, it didn't really worry me when he told me....if Burke wont draft a Russian he certainly wouldn't trade for one that's run to the KHL twice now.

I'd love to hear Burke try and spin acquiring a guy like that. With all his talk of character and what not.

Me too. We desperately need a net pressence on the power play and Stewart lives there. He's hard to move, and he has the hands.

Anyone know if Tarasenko is coming over for them this year? That would allow them to move a winger I would think, for a top 4 d-man that they really want.

You wont because he wouldnt.

I 100% guarantee Radulov will not be acquired by the Leafs unless its simply to move his rights elsewhere.

Son, let me upgrade ya.

Just because I own a fully functioning Camry doesn't mean I don't want an Audi.

BTW, is there actually any source to this stuff about the Blues, or is it entirely speculation?

He's 24, has scored 28 goals in the league before, and is an absolute tank and a warrior.

Plus, likely MacArthur or Kulemin + a defencemen would be going the other way, so it'd be net neutral for wingers.

Andy Strickland said the Leafs/Blues have had ongoing talks about NHL players. Combine that with Henny saying a deal is close... that's about all we've got.

But you already have 3 nice cars ( Kessel, Lupul, JVR) and no super cars (#1 center, #1 goaltender) why bother messing with top 6 wingers.

Kuley would be a good mentor for Tarasenko and they really want a top 4 d-man according to their board (JML/Franson?). If we got another big winger like Stewart (who is more of a true powerforward), it would make it easier on our smaller centres I think.

I thought that we just got our Net front presence on the PP in JVR. I like the idea.

I think Berglund. Backes and Oshie would cost a lot and I'd besurprised if it were Schwartz or Tarasenko. Berglund has size and I think good offensive potential he hasn't fully realized yet.

Just leave it to the rest of us to put a deal together lol

My guess would be Stewart for MacArthur/Kulemin + mid prospect

What's wrong with a Camry. It's called fuel efficiency.

Yes ... having too many good top 6 wingers is a horrible problem to have! It's like having too many good D prospects ... since of course the new CBA will obviously stipulate that you can only trade a centre for a centre or a goalie for a goalie.
