Isles pick 4th or 5th every year, so not them.

Yeah no doubt, his play style is exactly what they need, A koivu power line then Mckinnon to dangle

Oilers.

I'm pretty sure we'll eventually see our entire 23 man roster made up of 1st overall picks.

The Oilers will make a deal at the deadline for a 1st round pick with the 5th worst team and win the lottery.

This place would explode

Hall, Eberle, RNH and Yakupov will be retiring just as we`re ready to contend. They will ruin the whole process.

That and with our luck, we finish last and lose the lottery. We'd pick #2.

With our roster though, we may not even need Lehtonen to go down...
I think Campbell/Bachman would be solid, I think they could make it again this year, fact I think one of them could even steal the starter position.

Having watched both, Seth Jones is better then Mackinnon imo.

I havent seen a defensemen with Jones size, skating, hands and hockeysense in a very long time.

He's like Alex Pietrangelo on steroids.

Maybe the Oilers can sell Schultz on signing in Edmonton with the idea of being paired with Jones in a couple years.

besides, some scouts and publications have seth jones rated ahead of him, and obviously a lot could change in the span of a year.
I remember when Adam Larsson was virtually the consensus #1.

Sure, MacKinnon was compared to Crosby in AAA, but his rookie CHL season was nothing like Crosby's, and that goes without saying.

Honestly, none of the usual suspects (Columbus, Edmonton, etc.). It will likely be some team that was predicted to be in the playoff bubble that for some crazy reason totally bombed the season (like Columbus last year).

I can actually see it being Calgary, if they go full board on the rebuild. Trading Iggy, Bouwmeester and Kipper could actually give them a slew of picks and nothing to go on for the season, if they decide to go that route.

Bottom 5:
Calgary, Minnesota, Columbus, Dallas, Toronto

It sounds like their ownership won`t allow Feaster to blow it up. It`s also part of the reason why Sutter wanted out(or so I`ve been told).

It`s too bad for their fans. Drafting a guy like Bartschi(who I am 100% convinced is going to be a star) at 13th overall could act as such a head start for a rebuild.

The Wild finished 7th from the bottom this year after enduring a near record slate of injuries. With their influx of young talent, and a healthy roster, how do they sink lower?

No, just the 12 forwards. Tambellini isn't going to waste a draft pick on some lousy defenseman.

A lot of people are mentioning Toronto, but I just don't see it. I believe the Leafs will be in the thick of things fighting for a Playoff spot.

Montreal will still likely be the best bet in the East, Columbus and Minnesota in the West.

Im going to nominate Columbus, Minnesota, and lastly a split between Dallas/Winnipeg/Toronto. All 3 depends on goalies for me. If Lehtonen gets injured, Dallas is done, if Pavelec bolts to KHL, Winnipeg could be done, and if Toronto doesnt solve their goalie problem, they have a good shot at it too.
