Im not opposed to keeping Komi now that we lost Schenn. We still need some toughness in our D. giving him 15 mins isn't bad.

Schultz-Komisarek

Theodore

Im assuming Burke is going to bring in another forward, but im not sure who.
Liles and Gardiner are both left-handed shots, and Komisarek and Schultz are both right-handed shots.

Other than that minor complaint, I don't hate it.

I mean, obviously I'd like to see a little more, but at least it's realistic.

If Burke brings in another top 6 forward, it will be a Center. We are good on the wings..

I thought we were good BEFORE acquiring JVR.

So we are definitely done.

MacArthur should be looking over his shoulder this off-season, I don't think he'll make it.

LeBrun just reported that Steve Ott is still up for grabs. I think he's that type of guy we definitely need on this team. Mike Brown can't do it all by himself.

There may be a few players added to the list of UFA's today, teams will have to Qualify them and there are some intersting ones that may be available, should know tomorrow.

Absolutely - by no means is Burkie done yet though so we can expect more movement... hopefully Ott is one of them.

As for defensive lines, can't see Liles/Gardiner as being a pairing ... too small, too soft - who will clear guys in front of the net?

IMO we see Gardiner paired with Phaneuf this season, Gunnar is likely gone and Schultz will play 2nd line with someone we bring in. That leaves Liles for the 5th D, a great place for him IMO, and Holzer to round out our 6th. Komi is the 7th unless he too is gone.

If we get Schultz and trade away 1 of Bozak or Connolly id consider it. Im not sure if we'd have to add a pick as high as a 2nd though.

Kulemin-Ott-Frattin. Good 3rd line.

As good as Daley is, would rather lose Liles for a forward. So much D.

I don't think Gardiner and phaneuf will do well playing with each other, both are offensive. I think we keep Gunner and Liles gets traded. Although the liles signing will look bad, gunner's value to the team is much higher than what he worth in a trade.

Corey Krakower ‏@ckraks

Players I don't expect to get a qualifying offer: Comeau, Porter, Wandell, Barker, Wolski, Latendresse, N. Johnson, Nokelainen, Brule, Fehr

Corey Krakower Corey Krakower ‏@ckraks

Today is the qualifying offer deadline. Any RFAs not extended a qualifying offer will now become UFAs on July 1.

Fehr may be worth a 1 year risk free contract. He had 1 bad year.

How serious is Latendresse's concussion? Do they think he will play again? He could be worth the risk if he's able to come back healthy.

yeah he's a big body i'd be interested in too

found this

"It's like I never had any concussion," Latendresse said from his home in Montreal. "I feel 100 percent. I'm doing training like before. I have nothing. I can't even remember when my last headache was."

I don't think it should cost an arm and a leg. I would guess that Kadri would have to go the other way.

Would Kadri for J. Bernier sound fair? Perhaps with a little tweaking on both sides.

We should target Oshie. Pretty sure he plays C as well as wing. Replace Bozak with Oshie to fit Carlyle's system.

Bozak + MacArthur + Franson for Oshie +? (overpayment or underpayment?)
Connolly for 3rd

Lupul - JVR - Kessel
Kadri - Grabovski - Kulemin
Frattin - Oshie - Armstrong
Brown - Steckel - Prust
-D'Amigo/Lombardi/Komarov

Gunnarsson - Phaneuf
Gardiner - Schultz
Liles - Komisarek

Latendresse is the guy I'd take a chance on. The guy is talented.

He's always injured though, almost literally. He's only played 27 games in the last 2 seasons. Ouch.

Any other young centres with decent potential you guys can think of?

I mean, we've talked about Wilson and Berglund. Anyone else?

That'd be a reclamation project I'd be interested in if he's expected to be able to play next season.

I said this in another thread, but I only see the Blues moving Oshie in a package for a top line player or #1 dman. They don't need anymore depth pieces like bozie mac and franson at the expense of Oshie.

Excellent news.

I wonder why Minny would let him go though.
