Nikita Jevpalovs will not be on many fans’ radar on June 22. That is because the young Latvian was not even ranked in the NHL scouting report until January, when he made a big splash at the IIHF World Junior Championships.
Not even 18 years old, he is one of the youngest ranked players in this year’s draft. But don’t let that fool you. His rise up the list of top-ranked European prospects for this year’s NHL Draft is the result of a quickly maturing young man. He has skill, drive and hockey sense well beyond his years — something that has not gone unnoticed by scouts.
Given his age, Jevpalovs is the best of both worlds. He has the finesse of a European skater and the tenacity of a North American. He already possesses an amazing amount of leadership ability and talent and has only just begun his development. Combine that with a humble, positive and eager outlook, Jevpalovs just may be one of the draft’s dark horses.

Intresting, so he barely made the draft cutoff ?
Maybe a Girgensons in discuise ???
I still think BLB needs a true goal scorer, but IMO I wouldn't want to run into that team in the playoffs... So much two way talent...
I think the Armada are underrated on the boards... Joel Bouchard and JF Houle know how to evaluate talent and they know what they are doing. If your an Armada fan you should have plenty of faith.
I think they will add, but they are more complete then other contenders...
QC has a bit of ego there, Duclair has a temper....
CHSB your Bathrust love clouds your vision...
CH4 I think your too high on Chicoutimi is it ? Or is that another poster ?
I've said it before and I'll say it again...
Halifax and Quebec are overrated and get too much love...
BLB and Moncton are underrated as is Gatineau... I think we'll see another year like 2010 where it's going to be tough the win, and the winner will be burnt out by Mem cup.

I'm not high at all on Chicoutimi I don't think they will be contenders. I think they will sell and finish 6-10, Chicoutimi, BC and to a certain extend Rimouski should be pretty equal.
Gatineau you overrate them they're too young to pretend to anything the addition of Steeves and Poulin should help they will make a nice battle with BB and Val d'or for the division.
Quebec and Halifax's top 6 eat blainville and Moncton alive.
defense they are pretty much all equal, no team is stellar like Shawi and SJ were this year. Guys like O'brien, Gagnon, Gagné, Brisebois, Blain could get traded and change the portrait.
Now I've heard it all.... Not every junior player is cocky.....
Your taking this too seriously...
True. I probably just needed to cool off
But no not every junior player is cocky i'm exagerrating, but I just don't think Ciampini (if anyone) would be the one to break this team inside out chemistry wise.
I really don't see how Halifax's and Québec's top-6 eats Moncton's alive. I mean sure they are more proven and more ''sexy'' but if you consider the Saulnier twins (potential of 100 pts), the two new russians and Veilleux, that's a great top-6.
Of course, it depends on how Barbashev and Jaskin performs, but to say they're eaten alive by Halifax's and Québec's I think is being out to lunch.

It probably won't be Ciampini... According to those who've played with Drouin, the first year on a team he's quiet and obedient, but year 2 he's been known to take charge, and throw his jersey in the trash when things go wrong.. And apparently Stef Fournier has a big ego.... LSL kids are known for being primadonnas...
Well the reason they pushed the season back is to be like the O and Dub, and let players return from NHL rookie camps. The only one who won't be there would maybe be ouellet or Matteau.
MacKenzie (while Paquette is in Tampa Bay)
Robillard (while Matteau is in New Jersey)
Ouellet - Picard
Berube - Richer
Hoyles - Bahl
Gauthier (while Ouellet is in Detroit)
Marcoux
Phaneuf
Whiffen (while Marcoux is in Philadelphia)
Of course surprises could still happen in camp !!!
I popped in today to watch the 2nd intra squad game. I thought Sanche, for a smaller player, did very well. Paquette was skating very well too...impressive.
Jevpalovs looked sluggish.
I heard Strong is a big kid....perfect name Haven't seen him though.

How are you ? Long time no speak.
Thoughts of Cusson ?
What time are the Intra Squad scrimmages at ?
I may head on down, nothing beats a day in Blainville-Boisbriand..
