And he could also comeback in a year and be your #1 goalie Just 4 a simple reason that he can stick it to the man !

We want Varly to have the starting gig. and Giguere is a better mentor than TT. No offense to TT, he's a great goalie, but Giguere already has a year of rapport with Varly, and he's still signed here.

Plus, after we sign all of our RFAs, we won't need help getting over the cap floor, and that's the premise of this thread in the first place right?

Look, we already had one TT in town, Tim Tebow. We don't need any more circuses here, and that's exactly what Tim Thomas would bring, a circus.

We're happy with Varly as #1 and Giggy as #2

I don't get it? A team has a chance to grab a goalie like Thomas for basically free, a goalie coming off two recent Vezina wins, Conn Smythe and lead a team to a Stanley Cup and this is the reaction?? Stop asking us to take TT? You have Varlamov & Giguere, you should be begging your GM to trade for Thomas..Thomas will play next year and whoever grabs him will get a hell of a steal if they don't have to give up much

Sounds almost as crazy as a team desperate to get rid of the same guy.

And the Avs have missed the playoffs a total of four times since arriving in Denver, twice just barely.

Yeah, I guess that's why we don't have any Stanley Cups in the 16 years of our franchise's existence

Timmy will be back this year and will be back with a vengeance. He will be scooped up by a team on the cusp and will make them an instant contender. Thomas wants out of Boston, there is absolutely no reason to believe he won't play great somewhere else. I doubt he would wanna go to Colorado anyway, probably looking to win another Cup before he retires

Idk if you heard, but its called a rebuild, ya know? The Bruins have been through some as well, you realize that, right? But of course you would not remember those....I guess we can call all teams that rebuild, perennial bottom feeders now, huh?

If you need the cap space, please just take him for "future considerations".

We'll add a 7th.

Also it must have sucked for Avs fans when in 2000 Joe Sakic left the Avs to go to Boston to win the cup because the Avs were perennial bottom feeders.

Rebuilding franchise who just spent heavily for 23 year old starting goalie does not want a highly paid 36 year old who won't play next year and regress big time when/if he does return. You'd have to give something and take a smaller cap dumb(something the Avs don't have) ala Leafs/Preds Cody Franson trade last year.

Flyers fan? why would you assume that..I'm actually a Bruins fan hence the reason I am talking about Thomas, you Colorado fans are a sensitive bunch.

I just don't get the Thomas hate, assuming a team knows Thomas will play and trades for him I would think any fan would be happy to give the guy a chance for a season knowing his recent accomplishments and what he did for the Bruins. Just seems like a no brainer if a team can get him for cheap
