Which is why it is such an improbable scenario (trading Pleks that is).

So much rides on what ifs for it to happen.

-Eller needs to progress offensively (to at least a 40pt C) and Defensively (to cover off Pleks PK time and defensive responsibilities)

-DD needs to repeat his performance from last season

-Galchenyuk would need to walk into camp and force the Habs to play him in the NHL

All these things would HAVE TO happen to have Plekanec be on the trade block. And I just don't see it this year. Likelier scenario would be to see DD or Eller moved to make room for Gally if he starts to tear it up

Only way Plekanec leaves Montreal is for another centre. Maybe a team will want to stir things up. Maybe a trade with San Jose for Joe Pavelski or with the Canucks for Ryan Kesler. Or course Montreal would have to add, but in my mind, Montreal need a good player back for Plekanec.

yup, that would be a scenario as well, not likely we would get a shot at either of those two, but doable depending on what we would need to add

Pleks is so under rated, if he would have centered max and cole his numbers would have been huge. He was not used right last year so I don't think u trade him when his value is low. I would rather trade DD.
