I'm surprised they didn't find some excuse to not have the Devils in the demo.

Like make it LA vs. NHL Legends or something.

And it looks like they've made HUT pointless

We also don't have to scroll through all the teams to get to them when starting a game.

Yeah, I played a ton of HUT this year and I think the changes are major downgrades. Retirement and contract increases make the game far more interesting. Also, having to train players before every game will get old fast.

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but all the overall ratings for the Eastern Conference teams' players have been released. I dunno if it's just my bias, but it seems a lot of Devils got shafted, especially on defense.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-pu...medium=twitter

Also, Michael Leighton has a better overall than Hedberg.

There isn't a LOL big enough for some of those ratings.

Zajac, Elias, Yayo, Fayne, Moose, Babby Gio got shafted the most. Tedenby is probably like a 71, too.

Also, Larsson an 84? Wow. And why the **** is Boulton still there?

Those ratings are ****ing horrible. EA still doesn't realize that roster went all the way to game 6 in the SCF.

Larsson rated higher then Henrique? Clarkson an 81? Zubrus below an 80?

Do the people at EA actually have a sense of whos good around the league? What the hell do they take into account?

Every NHL game the devils are always rated like a team selected from a nursing home.

Point taken. But come on, this is hilariously bad. I mean:

THESE RATINGS SAY THAT CAM ****ING JANSSEN IS BETTER THAN GIONTA.

Cam's likely high toughness and fighting stats bump his ratings just as they do every yr.

I remember when John Madden was a damn 86 for a couple yrs because his D stats were so high.

Plus EA said they are making a conscious effort to make 3rd 4th liners feel A LOT different than superstars and 1st 2nd liners.

Don't get me wrong, I want my team's ratings to be as high as possible, but honestly what do any of you really want these ratings to be instead? First off, you can't just attribute a number and assume it fits, as its really all relative to where comparable players are. You see a guy as an 80 and think its a joke, but what kind of players have that same 80, or 81, or 82 overall (at the same position. I'm not going to compare goalies vs. forwards vs. defensemen since its different roles and sets of ratings that affect overall)?

And even still. Lets not forget these guys do have their weaknesses. They're not all all-stars. Sure the team went to the SCF. But a large part of that was because of their depth. Don't forget sample sizes either. I agree that Gionta played very well in the playoffs, but that's such a small sample size that its not entirely fair to rate him purely based off that. Mid 60s is a little harsh, as he should probably be in line with your average 4th liner. But we can't exactly expect him to be a 78-80 overall for 2 months of games here.

Need an opinion. I can buy for $100 an xbox 360 with 4gb from a friend brand new. Is that worth it?

They might succeed at it if, you know, they don't put the fourth liners in the second line as per that image.

If these are the lines that come out with the game, with no Butler/Tedenby on them, I'm not playing this until the first roster update.

I think that 71 to 74 would have been more fair. That's like a 10 point bump.

Theres always a day 1 roster update. Plus Tedenby would be available to you anyway in Gm-connected anyway since you can control the Albany team also.
