I would welcome Lats with open arms. I'm sure he's changed and I can't even remember why I was so glad he gtfo. I was expecting too much of a physical game from him I think. I have a good feeling about this.

That's one funny avi man. Can't stop looking at it.

Yeah, give DD line easy matchups. Time to rebuild Rene Bourque and get some production out of him, instead of ruining his value like Cunneyworth did with Kostitsyn.

Habs should hire Latendress and Paranteau

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Cole
Latendresse - Desharnais - Parenteau
Bourque - Eller - Gionta
Bradley - White - Tootoo

Not at the pricetag Parenteau is aiming for.

Just like every other superstars, he'll sign with the Habs when he'll be 90 years old when no other teams will want him.

It could be very interesting to see Therriens impact(and patience) on Latendresses work attitude...

Just a feeling, but I can see Latendresse signing with Toronto or Ottawa.

What "old superstars" have we signed? Brodeur? nope Roy? nope Lidstrom? nope Gretzky? nope Lemieux? nope Messier? nope

You must be thinking you're on the Rangers board

Only way that happens is if Montreal don't want him
If he goes to Ott or TO you know Montreal didn't want him.
I'm sure Lats read Kovy's let down in Ott, the fans weren't as wild cheering his name.
Gui in Montreal , it would take about the first shift to hear GUI GUI GUI again ...

Let's be honest, with the decks cleared here, Montreal is Lats first choice.

I think he wasn't too happy the way it ended so getting a chance to "fix history" would make it attractive here, especially with new management, should be a pretty easy sell.

All the Lats love is going to look good when he signs with Boston to replace Pouliot.

Great, we got that settled out , Now read what Gui said today.

I talked to him earlier this morning and Latendresse said that he has decided he would like to be closer to his 4-year-old son, Hayden, who lives with his mother in Montreal.

"I’ve been here with my son in Montreal for two months. He’s four years old now," Latendresse said. "It’s pretty hard for me during the wintertime, so I think it would be best if I can try and land somewhere that would be closer to him."

It’s really a personal matter more than anything. I would have loved to go back to Minnesota, but sometimes you have to make decisions for your family and for your future.

“And I think my son would be better if he could be closer to me.”

Essentially, what Latendresse is saying is he wants to sign anywhere east of Minnesota and most likely in the north part of the country or Eastern Canada.

The Canadiens drafted Latendresse. It is his hometown team. They have a new coach (Michel Therrien) and new GM (Marc Bergevin) from when the Habs traded him to Minnesota for Benoit Pouliot in Nov. 2009.

I asked Latendresse if he would like to return to Montreal. It sure sounds like that's in the back of his head.

“I don’t know," he said. "We’ll see July 1 if something happens and if they’re open to take me back. But as far as now, I don’t know. I don’t close any doors. But for sure, if they want me back, it might be something interesting. But I don’t want to say yes or no because I don’t know what’s their plans, so I keep every door open.”

Tender is not my favorite player on the market but I don't mind him for 2.5 (he's going to get more on the market)
