And how does this line-up fit Carlyle's system? If he goes for a pure checking, defensive team he is **** out of luck but I see it working if we employ a puck-posession strategy in a Detroit form.
I don't want to see Franson being scratched so often.
If we do not get a goalie I wouldn't be overly mad watching Reimer and Scrivens tag team. I feel very confident in them, I remember when I was on the tank bandwagon Scrivens kept winning us games and I was like fuuuuck play Gus

That looks pretty close, but I have to think Bozak gets swapped for someone with size, long term. Gunnarson probably should probabaly be upgraded too. I have to say though, I like our group, I think we are getting close.
I'm not sure how I would personally predict the line up. I mean we can talk about our prospects developing, but who knows when it comes to trades, free agency etc.
In a perfect world our prospects develop well and we have some big bodies in the line-up. I can see the forward group working well under Carlyle's system, but we do have glaring holes up the middle. Eventually this problem will be addressed. Mobility from the back end is an asset, but they lack the truculence Burke preaches.
Van Riemsdyk Unknown Kessel
Kadri Colborne Ashton
Ross Unknown Biggs
Brown Unknown Ryan
Komarov
Rielly Phaneuf
Gardiner Unknown **Hopefully Schultz for a dynamic top 4
Percy Finn
Blacker
Trades will obviously be made because I think Biggs and Ross will be better than 4th liners.
Two of Ross, D'amigo, McKegg & Biggs will be 3rd line material, two will most likely not make the NHL.
Where is Kulemin, Gunnarsson, and Bozak? All are serviceable players that have higher possibilities then some of these guys to be on this team long term.
Lupul - Bozak - Kessel (Bozak becomes expendable or 3rd line centre if we get a first line centre)
JVR - Grabovski - Kadri/Frattin
Kulemin - Colborne - Biggs
Ross - XXXX - Brown/Ashton

Big fan of McKegg but I believe him & D'amigo will not to translate their skills to the NHL
If Bozak is in our long-term plans as the number 1 center then we are going to have problems. If it's as 3rd line center then fine.
I hope Kulie is still around because he's probably my 2nd favourite forward on the team, but I just have this feeling he will be traded eventually.
Same feeling on Gunnar. He is a very solid dman but we will (hopefully) have a lot of depth at the d position in the future so eventually some will have to be moved. I could see him being one of the players moved. Id be happy to keep him though.
I think D'Amigo has what it takes to make it as at least a 3rd liner. Im not sure on McKegg yet though.

I think Liles, Gunnarson, Franson, MacArthur, & Kadri become expendable for the right pieces if Biggs, Frattin, Ross, Holzer, Percy, Blacker & Reilly pan out.
