Love that this is at the FNC instead of NU.
It's 20 minutes and 25 miles closer to me so I might actually go this year.

Pretty cool how it's at the FNC, also glad to see that Hodgson will be going. I'll probably go the 11th, stay overnight, then go to the scrimmage.

I am actually disappointed this year. Technically Dwyer is slightly closer to me, but last year they had 2 days of a scrimmage and it was free, wonder if parking at the arena will be free also? Might just skip out this year, though was excited to see some of the players.

Bakes has the roster:
Quote:
Three RFAs, T.J. Brennan, Alex Biega, and Drew Schiestel, have paid their entry-level dues and will not participate.

The published roster is rounded off with invites Frederick Roy (Quebec - QMJHL), MacKenzie Braid (Sudbury - OHL), Kyle Jean (Lake Superior State - CCHA), Kevin Czuczman (Lake Superior State - CCHA), and Mark Guggenberger (Texas - CHL).

Not surprising to see Patrick Roy's son get an invite.
He was at the combine and was Grig's linemate this season.

And it seems like they like Lake Superior State or something.

Maybe one of their new scouts is based in The Soo?

Do the owe Roque a favor? It's not like past year's camps where they have guys from WNY on the same team. The nearest LSSU guys are from Oakville.

They might be Rolston influenced too since he went there.

Might just be their way of thanking him for the recommendation of Grigorenko or something.

They can probably make a decent farmhand out of him.
He has bloodlines and defensive ability.

Weird that previously rumored Hofford, Iles, and Jones aren't on the list.
Looks like they spelled all of the names correctly this year though.

Roque as in LSSU's head coach, not Roy. Roy getting the invite is probably akin to them giving Kelly Gellert's son a shot in Dev Camp previously -- a favor -- as well as having someone around who is close to Grigorenko already. It doesn't hurt to have someone around to guide him and they could do worse than the son of the coach.

No Drew MacKenzie on the list. Perhaps they have cut ties completely.

I didn't order tickets yet but I'm pretty sure that I convinced my friend to go w/ me and maybe to one of the practices as well. Might have to dust off my Afinogenov AGH to make myself easily identifiable to other posters.

29 is very overage, plus he's in a whole other organization now. The lack of hockey knowledge on this board sometimes astounds me.

I was gonna say I have to get out my black AGH (I do have a LOOOOOT of Sabres jerseys. don't ask why or how but I've always enjoyed watching/seeing Buffalo.) I have #81 but NEAL on the back. I don't wanna send it to get SATAN on it yet cause I was gonna wear it to the scrim. You think I should take a ride to FNc and buy the tickets or just order online?

I wouldn't expect to see many other dogs wearing hats there, the jersey might not be necessary.

Heh, whoops, I thought it was some kind of nickname for him.

He's said nothing about the Sabres since completing school and seems to just be on vacation for the whole summer.

I'm hoping to go but it's pretty hard since I don't drive.
At least it's a lot better than NU for me though.

Seems like it's definitely worth the drive this year with all of the talent there.

He's talking about Frédérick Roy, Patrick Roy's son, who was an overage in the Q this year and is invited to this camp.

Corey Fienhage? Is he still inked to a contract with Rochester?

Thx for the info on MacKenzie.

I don't believe so.
The Sabres also lost his exclusive rights on 6/1.

Maybe, Jokinen is on the list though. Based on what jfb said maybe he's giving up hockey or something?
