I'm hoping to go but it's pretty hard since I don't drive.
At least it's a lot better than NU for me though.

Seems like it's definitely worth the drive this year with all of the talent there.

He's talking about Frédérick Roy, Patrick Roy's son, who was an overage in the Q this year and is invited to this camp.
Thanks lol,

I will probably wear my Ennis all team autographed jersey, especially if anyone wants to carpool still

The Sabres also lost his exclusive rights on 6/1.
Didn't expect to see him on the camp roster, but there he is.

Kind of bummed that the scrimmage isn't free this year but Ill probably still pay to go.

Definitely going on Sunday if anyone wants to meet up.

Not sure I'll be able to make it. But, the amenities of the arena are worth the $10 compared to the one I went a few years ago at the pepsi center. The glass was so fogged up it was hard to even see what was going on.

Comfortable seats, a nice sightline and available concessions more then justify $10 to me.

This. It's not like they're trying to squeeze us for a buck, the operation costs money and from the customer perspective there's definitely 10 bucks worth of value there.

Kyle jean has signed with the Rangers, one might say to it is an advantage to have an earlier camp. I guess we can take him off the list

Meh. I hadn't heard that yet, but nonetheless it's not surprising to hear that a camp standout would sign a contract. He had something like four or five goals in three scrimmages at the NYR camp.

What's the best way to get to the FNC from Lancaster/Transit Rd?

Just be aware that Broadway doesn't have a direct connection to the Thruway. You'll have to use Walden or William for that.

Alternatively, you could avoid the highways altogether and go Broadway -> Michigan -> Perry.

There is no entrance to the 90 from Broadway. Come down to Union and either go up to Walden or down to William to get to the Thruway.

TheSchoolMaster - Definitely going on Sunday if anyone wants to meet up.

LS: Well it starts on Sunday but theres nothing for the fans. Probably just have the
players do physicals and weight room duty - maybe a short quick skate.

ThatCrazyRangersFan - You think I should take a ride to FNC and buy the tickets
or just order online?

LS: Unless your going to be in the area - maybe make a practice drive to the FNC since
you are unfamiliar on getting there - I would just order online and have the tickets sent
to you - theres no extra charge.

Looks like the Wednesday session (only day I have off that matches up with the schedule) and
the Blue-Gold game for me. Although I'm not a fan of attending the Wednesday session - 10:00
am ET-12:30 pm ET and then having to come back to the area later for the Triple A All-Star Game.
(At least the time difference - approx 4 1/2 hours - between the time I get home from the hockey
and the time I must leave for the baseball game - is reasonable - would suck if it was like 2 hours)
A later practice - 3:00 pm ET-3:30 pm ET start - would have been great - ends 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm
ET and then off to the ballpark. Nice hockey-baseball double-header. Betcha there would have been
quite a number of people would have done that - oh well.

Hopefully on the night of the Blue-Gold game (or having it also during the other sessions would
be cool and better as well - would be less crowded) - they have that 42% off your total purchase
at the Sabres store deal again. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, I couldn't
take advantage when they did this on draft night.

Probably just gonna buy them online. I'm unfamiliar with Lancaster. I used to go to hamburg all the time to visit my family and just took route 5/the skyway in

Whenever I go to the Arena I always park the car at South Campus and take the train.

Is the south campus free parking? And should I expect a lot of people to show up for the scrimmage game? That way i know where to park without turning around blocks for 10 minutes

The NFTA lot is free for park-and-ride at both South Campus and LaSalle. (If you have a UB pass ofc you can park in their lots too).

Plus the round trip ticket cost is less than parking cost.

Sunday is probably a lot of off-ice stuff -- weight, height, physical testing, BMI, and more. They will be putting them through tests, akin to the combine, and also doing orientation. It's cool that these kids get to hang in the new facilities -- if anything might be inspiring about that building, it would be the dressing room and training facilities.

Yeah when I read that it wasn't a closed session my mind jumped to orientation and off ice workouts.

plays almost a power forward style game, agitator, good responsible two way game. In his draft year he was a tiny 5ft 7 140 pound kid now he is 5ft 10 and significantly heavier by 20-30 pounds. His size doesn't hold him back though he still hits, fights and put up big numbers offensively this year.

I'm curious to see how he does but it will be good for Grigs to have his linemate/teammate there.
