Honestly, outside of the more heralded prospects at camp, I'd like to hear that Jacobs and Navin look poised for good seasons. I'd also like for all prospects to avoid injuries, ie. like the one Jacobs carried into last season, so that their development doesn't hit a snag.

Me too. From reports from Bakes he looked good in limited ice last year as a freshman; went hard to the net, stirred it up after the whistle, etc. He played in all but one game too. I hope for good things from him this coming year.

Who played center, who played wing?

The line was Anthony Duclair - Mikhail Grigorenko - Frédérick Roy for the majority of the year.
I don't think I ever saw Grigorenko play the wing even though various places have him listed as one (the Q site had him as a RW for most of the season and I think the NHL listed him as a LW).

If Grigorenko gets sent back to Quebec which Euro do you expect to be cut/dealt? Would Grigo more likely be playing with and Erne, Kucherov, or Sorensen on the RW (I am still assuming Duclair on the left side)?

I don't know, it depends on if they actually get Kucherov to report.
I believe he attended the Lightning training camp this season though and his parents apparently work in New York City, so there's probably a good chance that he does.

If Grigorenko returned and they got Kucherov to report, I'd think that they'd keep Kucherov because of his experience playing with Grigorenko and because he's older than Sörensen and they're looking to win now IMO.
Plus, Kucherov was their first choice last year but they couldn't work out a deal and took Sörensen.
I guess it depends on if either of them have a NTC or not and if they'd be willing to waive.
They could probably get a decent return and they need some help on defense even if their two possible steals in the recent midget draft Maxime Chevalier and Duncan MacIntyre report.

I believe I saw somewhere that Roy is going to experiment with Duclair at center next season if Grigorenko doesn't return.
Maybe he tries that even if they get Grigs back because they don't have a #2C either.

Hmm, don't know whether that's a good or bad sign..

I really hope they do since it's looking like I probably won't be able to go.

yeah, it's either:
a) skip out of work early, drive 50 minutes, pay for parking, drive 50 minutes back home.
b) out of work at 6, take 17 steps, take off pants, sit in a comfy chair.

Aside from the big names I'm really looking forward to seeing how Adam looks in camp, with Grigs, Girgs, and Armia there he's got to step it up.

$2.00 parking for Thursdays Blue and Gold Scrimmage -
Buffalo Sabres ‏@BuffaloSabres - Check out this map for parking information
for Thursday's Blue & Gold Scrimmage: http://yfrog.com/h23fhbdj ‪#Sabres
FNC Parking Ramp will be $4.00 next Thursday night for the scrimmage.

As for the practice sessions - probably will have to pay whatever is the daily charge
for the lots outside of the FNC Parking Ramp. Orginially the press release said parking
would be free for the practice sessions which I figured meant the FNC Parking Ramp
would be free. Not sure if thats the case still.

Maybe the Sabres will block off an area for "Sabres Only" - you must show up between
9:30 am ET-10:30 am ET and show something Sabres to get access - and thus you will
not get charge for parking. If you arrive later than 10:30 am ET - its half-price.

Has anyone attended the development camp before? I have Monday off and was thinking about taking my little guy. He is only 5 months so I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.

It's usually pretty chill and I've seen younger kids there before. Wouldn't shock me if someone showed up that young.

Don't know if that'll change with the venue shift though.

I've been to development camp and games with kids younger than that, go for it.

I'm in the same boat. Jacobs could use this as a springboard to his season, since he slid as the year went along. I'm surprised Jokinen is back... hope springs eternal I suppose.

Getting a first look at Armia, Grigorenko and Girgensons working with other Sabre picks and directed by Sabres staff is going to be fun. But I'm always a fan of watching the lesser heralded kids working out, looking for what they do well and where it looks like they might fit down the road. The invitees are always cool to observe. Roy's boy in particular, with not much size but some offensive chops is intriguing.

One thing to look for is how the Rochester destined kids look, both compared to one another and against the higher draftees. Boychuk, Szydlowski, Varone, Fienhage (who's again fighting for a contract), Parker, Flynn, MacKenzie ... Improvement here will push guys ahead of them.

Do you think they look at giving Jokinen an AHL contract?

Based on 3 goals and 13 points as a senior? No ****ing way. ECHL or CHL might even be too much too.

Does anyone know when the doors open on Thursday? I swear I heard it or read it somewhere and I thought it was half an hour before, but just wanted to confirm it. Can't find it anywhere.
