Avalanche signs Mark Olver 2012-13 $550 000 (2 way) 2013-14 $650 000 (one way)
I see a clear distinction between how Sherman handled this, and the almost identical situation of Riku Hahl and Matt Hendricks were handled by previous administrations. I like this version much better.
I wonder why nobody told you guys yet, he said that half an hour ago
from our awesome beat writer's latest blog: I also canít write a trade/signing is official until itís been vetted by my bosses. That means this: I may know about a trade and want to write it on a place like Twitter, but very often canít until it has been fully verified. Yes, that has led to some great frustration on my part in the past Ė because very often in todayís media world, the news will officially break somewhere else while Iím still going through the proper channels to get it out there. Scoops donít last long in this business anymore, is the bottom line. Yeah, that may make me/us sound like dinosaurs, but itís still the right way to go about things. The list is growing all the time of media outlets who jump the gun on things to get a scoop, only to get it all wrong.
anyway, nice signing, a bit lower than expected, I was at least expecting 1 way for next year (not that that really matters in the grand scheme of things)
