Decent deal for someone with Wilson's skillset IMHO.

Pretty good third pairing guy and put up decent numbers without really playing PP minutes.

Also absolutely destroyed Taylor Hall in one of the games this season.

Johnson, Hejda, O'Byrne, and Wilson for next season....Hunwick as hopefully no more than the 6/7th. With one or two of Barrie/Elliott/Gaunce getting decent playing time.

So that means....one FA dman signing with Colorado.

Should have dumped him at the draft while he still has some value. Cant believe he was ever mentioned in the same breath as Tavares.

I agree, why aren't you the Avs GM? You'll be much better than Greg from Accounting.

They are very similar.. Nothing flashy but both bring a fairly good all around game. Looks like Wilson has a little bit higher offensive upside as well while being more physical and a good fighter.

Wilson was one of our better Dmen pre-concussion ib perfectly happy with this signing, Jones wouldve got atleast that on the open market, ad he can be a 30 goal guy next to stastny, and duchene at 3.5 is a steal

I like this signing for the Avs, would've preferred a little less in terms of money, but Wilson is one of my favourites on the team. He is the only guy that can consistently come up with the big game changing hit, and I think he'd really blossom if the Avs could find a true top-pairing guy to push everyone else back into their appropriate roles.

Wilson has shown glimpses of his offensive abilities, but seems hesitant to use them (and I believe he has mentioned himself that he is concentrating more on the defensive side of the game), I think having a lesser role that allows him to actually use his gifts will only allow him to develop into a better player.

Call me back when Wilson logs top 3 minutes on a cup winning team.

LOL really? That was a while ago and they are looking to trade him now.. Talk about over reaction much?

I compared their styles and some production over a few short years. All I am saying is Wilson is underrated.
