Kulemin for Leblanc and a second

I like this trade for both teams:

Leafs get a good prospect and draft pick for a player that has fallen out of favor.

Habs get a winger to play with Pleks that I think will be perfect fit.

Leafs counter, Macarthur for a 2nd.

Kulemin is a defensively sound forward, who the fans believe can rebound and score 20+ goals again, he can be used on our 2nd and 3rd line. We wouldn't really have any interest in Leblanc who looks to be a 2nd/3rd line tweener center of which we already have in Bozak.

Kuleman is our best defensive forward and we are trying to end the rebuilding phase, not step further back. And of course the obvious....it's the Habs. Your value is probably alright but it just doesnt reflect our current needs. We need a center and a goalie.

not really interested... besides trading a french-canadian for a russian that has the potential to crumble in Montreal and become the next AK46 has disaster written all over it.

No comparison to ak46 at all!!!

I want him for his defence and his ability to score, him and Pleks are like the same player.

I don't think the other team would score with them on the ice, and could put the puck in if they get a chance👍

not interested in a prospect who might not even see a day in the nhl even if he does will be nothing more than a 3rd liner

rather have kulemin whos very decent 2 way forward who had an off year he should have a bounce back season still good for a 40 point player

No reason for Toronto to do this. Leafs needed to get bigger up front.. JvR obviously does that, but trading Kulemin is just a step backwards.

If anyone's gotta go from our forward group, its MacArthur and/or Kadri.

Zero interest in seeing Kulemin play against us 6 times a year, and on Montreal nonetheless.

Habs counter 4th for Macarthur + 7th.. Really have no need or want for him though.

edit: Also, if I wanted a 7 goal scorer, I'd just ask my grandma if she wanted to play

I highly doubt your grandma can score 7 goals.

God no, I like Kulemin but Leblanc (after not being able to work out most of the offseason) proved himself to be a defensively capable forward with some pretty good levels of grit.

Why are they trading that AND a 2nd rounder for a guy 4 and a half years older?

What's the point for the Habs? How does this get them closer to being a contender?

Is the value "fair"? Sure, lots of the trades that would never happen because they're completely illogical on here have "fair" value.

No thanks. Leblanc didnt look out of place in his stint with the big club. Lets see what he becomes.

I like both players but it would be bad press for Bergevin to trade a native of Montreal. Besides, LeBlanc looked good in his limited role during his 42 games with Montreal last season.

Interesting to see what kind of money Kulemin gets as a RFA after a sub-par season

Pass.

Kulemin is a good player, but don't really want him.
