I cant see the penguins having any interst in him at all. Lemieux was pretty embarassed by what Jagr did to him last year. I think he has burned that bridge. I would be absolutely shocked if the Pens even gave him an offer let alone signed him.

I see NYR making a one-2 yr deal if they do not aquire Nash or Ryan or Parise...

Wouldn't rule out Ottawa. Spezza needs a new LW.

I think he's more of a 2nd line winger now. Old & slow. Can still get it done at times but certainly isnt going to make or break your team.

I would've said that for the sake of his career, he should've stayed with Philly because he wouldn't have gotten near 50 pts without Giroux but I don't think he cares much about that since it's probably his last year (in the NHL anyways). Playing alongside someone like Tavares is the only way he's gonna get close to that number again otherwise I see whoever signing him being disappointed.

Wouldn't of guessed they'd be an option. What makes you suggest them?

I ask because I've floated my interest in seeing him play for the Kings, because I doubt Lombardi lands Parise and think Jagr would be a soild winger to bring in, but I was told that Jagr likely wouldn't leave the East.

I believe Dreger said the Flames will target him. We have the cap space, looking to get immediate help, and Roman Cervenka (newly signed Flame) is an ex teammate of Jagr and good friends. I doubt he would sign with Calgary, but if they offered enough dough, who knows.

I'd say there is virtually no chance of the NYR signing Jagr. They weer not even one of the rumored teams when he returned to the NHL last season and if it were going to happen, last yr would've been the year. I don't see the Rangers bringing him back bar an apocalypse

Agreed. And he's not a Torts kind of guy.

Sedins + Jagr = Keep away in the offensive zone.

I could see Buffalo making him an offer. Regier wants to add another top 6 players, and Jagr might fly a little under most GMs radars with all the attention devoted to Suter and Parise. Whether Jagr would have any interest in Buffalo, idk, but I could definitely see an offer coming from us.

Because he good friends with roman cervenka. He played on the same line with him in the khl. Cgy is still a longshot though

I'm really hoping the Canucks make a play for both him and Whitney, actually. But is there any reason to think he'd come to Van?

Don't write the Oilers off on him. Even from Jagr's own mouth he seriously considered their last offer, I could see him wanting to play there for a year to show the young guns a thing or 2.

I think he'd fit perfectly with the Canucks. Either slot first line with the Sedins, or second line with Booth and Kesler. Don't think he'd actually sign here, but he seems to have the perfect skillset for that second line.

edit: Regarding the Oilers....don't they already have too many wingers for the top 6? Can't see the fit there unless they send down Yakupov.

I think the interest was playing for Renney again. With him gone, I can't see Jagr going to the Oil.

Philly
Detroit
NYR
Pens
Bruins

My guesses, #1 is probably Pittsburgh to end his career.

Who do you think will show interest?

I'd love to see the Bruins make an offer. I could see Krejci having a career year with him and the B's could use some top6 insurance for Horton.
I think he goes to the contender that offers a combination of good icetime , opportunity for cup run and of course , Benjamins .

Bruins.

Krejci & Jagr are 'homeboys'.

And I hear Jagr is a closet Lucic fan, owns a #17 player tee

Highly doubt he comes to the west... and if he does he might be wary of Vancouver's travel schedule.

If he's more interest in having the best chance to win he may look at the Canucks but more likely he'll look for a competing team in the east.

If Kane is our 2C, he could use a LW...
